5 Stars! If you hate going to the doctor or you are intimidated by seeing a doctor, then Dr. Yu might be the answer for you. He is a very excellent doctor who is professional, knowledgeable, kind and you can see he really does listen to you and does indeed care about his patients.
Prior to the pandemic we had a real negative experience with a bad doctor who was totally unprofessional and kept trying to upsell us everything from sketchy unnecessary tests, to even BS insurance nonstop for the entire doctor visit, and kept saying real unprofessional remarks the entire time. We told Dr. Yu about this as soon as we met him and he assured us that we would not have to worry about any of those things with him and he was absolutely correct.
Dr. Yu is so excellent that if he was not covered by our insurance we'd still pay extra for him! Thats how amazing he is! Thank you Dr. Yu for all...
Read moreWe join Hoag on 9/1/2022 after 15 years with Kaiser. Our Primary Care Physician was Dr Yu and both of us (my wife and I) are so impressed with Dr Yu. He is very professional, caring, always takes his time to listen to our concerns, explaining the situation thoroughly and never gives us the feelings of being rushed. Surprisingly, 3 days after I saw him the first time, I was able to schedule another same day appointment due to an urgent pain on my ankle. Something that I could not do during the past 15 years. What is the point of having a PCP when you can’t even see or talk to him or her and got sent to urgent care to see others doctors when you need your PCP. Dr Yu had solved our problem. He is also very responsive to your text message. Lastly the Hoag facility we went was absolutely nice and clean. We totally recommend Hoag Med Group,...
Read moreNot a fan of this doctor. Always and I mean, every single appointment I've had with him, he is always running late, and not only 5 or 10 minutes, but up to 30 min to almost an hour after the initial scheduled time. He makes it extremely difficult to refill prescriptions and insisting that his patients always come in to get refills. I've had regularly monitored and documented issues and injuries in regards to my back that I am actually having surgery this month for and makes it incredibly more difficult to get the necessary medicines to help manage the constant pain I am in. I get it if I was asking for pain meds every month, but if I've had a 15 day supply worth of pain meds that lasted me 6 months, I shouldn't have to come in, take time off work, pay a copay to be able to get a refill. Do not reccommend this...
