They don't keep their promises. I bought gold bar from an online store and since it didn't arrive in time, I went to Ross jewelers to buy gold. I paid a premium on the gold price and I was told I can sell the gold I bought from online store at any time and they would honor the online spot price without giving me the premium I paid, I thought that was fair and bought gold. I was even suggested by the owner to come back when the gold price goes up and so I can get close to the money I paid them.
So I went there to sell the gold when gold price went up a bit, even in that scenario, I would be getting $100 less than what I paid at a lower gold price since the owner wouldn't give me the premium on the Price. Owner pays around 2% premium to wholesalers and so buying from me would save him the 2% premium too. Owner refused to honor his word and said he doesn't have demand so he wouldn't be buying the gold from me, this is something he never mentioned while I was buying gold and he even agreed that he should have told that while buying but still refused to honor his word.
I went with my friend to buy gold and they were shocked to know that the owner declined to buy as he promised. After a lot of discussion, he took my number and said he would contact me when he gets an order for gold but never called, I'm not sure how he runs his shop without any orders for 45 days. Although in the end, gold price went up, I would want to shop at a place where commitments are honored.
As they say, Trust is very costly and not everyone can afford it.
I would go to Tilak or Govindji's or any other reputed gold shop as they honor their commitments instead of making the customer buy with false promises and then...
Read moreThe owner acts sweet so he can rip you off so don’t fall for that. I went in for a silver item, it weighed 92.7 gms. The spot price was .89 cents per gram and he billed me for 238$. So the making charge was like 100% even after you add taxes and other fees. It didn’t make sense at all. I even offered like 80% of making charge and he was still not satisfied. They were not ready for negotiation so always kept asking me how do you like to pay.
They might have good collection but not value for money. If you are ready to pay heavy prices on making and other fees then it’s good for you. Would not recommend to price sensitive consumers who value...
Read moreWe had an excellent experience shopping here. The staff was very transparent, explained everything in detail including how they arrive at the final price and they were extremely helpful and kind. They have excellent choices. Especially if you prefer small but extra cute new gen earrings or chains with sparkling diamonds, this is the best place to visit. Also, even though we travelled about 40 min to the store, we felt it was well worth it. We have tried many Indian/American jewelers in the DFW area, however this is the best we have found in terms of options and variety of products. It was a pleasure...
