This place is highway robbery. Go to walmart to buy Sun brand bicycles and save yourself money and a headache

I asked them for a simple wheel swap and to install two tubes and tires. I wo8uld have done the joib myself but on a fixed gear bicycle you need a tool to remove the rear cog that I don't keep in my toolbox. For what they charged I could have bought two of those tools! I provided the wheels and the tires, they provided the tubes and awful service. They charged me $84 for the job after taking two days to complete it and never called me back to let me know it was finished. I had to call them myself.

When I asked why it cost so much they said it took them an hour to install the tires. What kind of mechanic takes an hour to install a tire? You sir, have baby hands. I was afraid to refuse to pay so I took my stuff and left. Shortly after I returned to ask for a refund after leaving unhappy and then they chased me out of the store telling me I'd never get...

Awesome road bike rental experience for a tall guy - I was able to rent for 2 full days at the same cost as bringing my bike on the airplane, w/o the hassle and potential damage. Chose to bring my own pedals, and they supplied a saddle bag, spare tube, and lock. Bike was 62cm - about 5cm shorter than my own, but the seat extended far enough to be comfortable. Nice bike, responsive, and enjoyable to ride. Bonus #1: they came out front to rescue me when I couldn't shut off the theft alarm on the rental vehicle for a minute, thinking I was having a medical emergency and signaling for help. Bonus #2: a chunk of the rental cost was offset by reduced entrance fees at a park ($2.50 instead of $8 in Key Largo), and avoiding $20 parking fee in Key West by parking across town and biking (which was faster than traffic). Called Back Country Cowboy about renting kayaks for a five day trip into the Everglades. Blown away by friendly, helpful service and honestly given advice from JC. Absolutely incredible price on kayaks for longer term rental and shuttle service. We are renting high quality touring kayaks, accessories (skirt, extra paddle, bilge pump, etc.) AND shuttle service (a total of 360 miles for them to drive total) and the price is still equivalent to renting a chintzy kayak from inside the Everglades. And I got a ton of great advice at no price at all. More feedback after our trip, but I am already truly impressed with Backcountry...
