Atelier Gutweis is an absolute gem! I stopped in while preparing for a work trip and was stunned by the selection of clothing and accessories, right here in Issaquah. The shop features pieces designed by the owner herself, alongside curated items from other small brands. I haven’t encountered such a unique, beautiful variety in years; visiting reignited my love for style and personal expression that I thought had permanently faded — starved by fast fashion and consumerism.

I left with a one-of-a-kind handmade skirt and several hand-dyed silk shirts. Beyond her talent as a designer, Monica was warm and welcoming, making the shopping experience feel truly enjoyable, like a little luxury in itself. She even altered one of the shirts on the spot while graciously answering all my questions. Monica has been making my special occasion dresses, jackets, and professional work wardrobe for years. I had a great experience browsing, meeting the designer and shopping at this new shop in Gilman.
