New to using a walker which makes shopping in narrow isles hard to get around, also problems seeing well enough to get around to different departments. First time in very long time of shopping alone, I had to ask for help in finding different items of clothing, also shopping for items on clearance rack, needed help carrying items that would not fit on my walker. I was assisted by 2-3 ladies who were so kind & patient with me, eventually met the store manager, Catherine I believe who also was a tremendous help, getting a basket for all of my purchases, made me an appointment to get my hair cut & came back & walked my purchases to my car. In addition to all of this I must say since I moved to NC, March 2018, & have became disabled, needing a walker to get around, I have met so many wonderful helpful people of all ages, especially in Walmart, clerks & other shoppers have offered to help me reach things on higher shelves or if I even maybe looked like I needed help, would ask if I needed something. I have just been amazed & this was true before the hurricane as well. I have always been a very independent person, losing that independence is really difficult but has made it much easier with so many willing to assist...
Read moreWent here to buy a washer and dryer combos we saw on the internet, when we got their we found out that they don't even have them in store. So, we tried to find an employee to ask, the jewelry department was the only place we could find someone, and they too were under staffed( labor day). We told them the name and price of the combo, and they couldn't find it, so I found the next closest on my phone, the price specifically said $547 for BOTH the washer and dryer, the employee said she had to call some number to verify, the person she has talking to on the phone told her to click the picture again, then explained how it was $547 PER each washer and dryer when it specifically said combo in 2 descriptions! I said that was false advertising, the employee didn't care. We left, and went to Lowe's where we got the washer and dryer we wanted as well as other stuff, plus a military discount JCPenney lost an $800+ sale to Lowe's due to their false...
Read moreI just had a very pleasant shopping experience at the Jacksonville North Carolina JCPenney located at the Jacksonville mall. They are having significant holiday and end of year sales. I was able to find a $200 king size goose down comforter that originally was selling for $200, yet it was marked down 75% to $49. On top of that they currently have a three day sale where you can receive a free chocolate bar inside of which are coupons which can lead to additional discounts of up to 50%. I was lucky and received another 40% discount off of the price of the comforter. So the bottom line is that I ended up paying only $30 for a $200 down comforter which I have been searching months for, but the price was always way too expensive for my limited budget. Great prices and incredibly friendly staff that took care of me. I couldn’t make a recommendation any higher. Great job and...
