A couple of years ago, my barber in Avondale went to work in another line of business entirely, and I also bought a house in Mandarin. I was in search of a new barber, and it just wasn’t going all that well on my side of town, to be honest...until I saw that Tony (who was cutting at the same shop in Avondale) had the opportunity to buy a business and build his own brand. Even though it’s a bit of a haul to get over to Murray Hill, it’s VERY much worth it for the quality of the service, the value on it, and the conversation (Tony and Bryce together is amazing), They’ve both been excellent in their considerations for safety of the public, customers, themselves, and their families during the COVID-19 stuff, while still being super accommodating to get on as many customers as possible.

My haircut appointment was canceled less than 3 hours before its time and was done on the internet. No reason was given, and the only option was to book another appointment sometime in the future. When I called and asked to speak to my barber, I was told that he was gone for the holidays. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the way it was handled, the story quickly changed to; he was out sick. It was most disappointing because I was going out of town for Christmas with my entire family and I wanted to look my best. So much for that. I might recommend to them that a better business practice would be when cancelling, to offer an explanation and some alternatives rather than just make another appointment!
