Tossgreen — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Up until November of 2024 this place was great! The staff was very friendly, the menu was delicious and there were great vegan/vegetarian/allergy options. They closed over the holiday and reopened with new staff and a new menu. The new menu is heavy on Indian spices which is great except the new staff doesn't know anything about it and the pricing is very confusing. The new staff also doesn't know if items are vegan or allergy friendly, they don't even know the names of some of the items as people order them. Often when I go in at 11am not all items are ready to be served. If you order an item exactly as the menu lists it, you can probably get it (with zero friendliness). If you want to choose from the build-your-own menu, you're screwed. There is a true language barrier making it impossible to make modifications and a real grumpiness about the staff. I have seen one woman walk away from numerous customers because she doesn't understand what the customer wants. Literally walk away and start talking to the next person in line! I work for an office of about 50 and all of us dread going there anymore. Don't be surprised if this one closes down soon like it's sister location did a few months ago. I like to support local so I'll stick to the group of food trucks...

I am extremely upset! I went to eat at this place and wanted to take an order of rice and chicken to go. Once I paid and packed my bowl, I realized there was less chicken than I expected, which is why I approached the person serving the chicken, named Jackie, and asked if she could give me more. She was very kind and added more chicken. However, when I went to pay, a person whom I assume was the manager started speaking to Jackie in front of everyone in a very disrespectful way because apparently, she made a mistake by adding more chicken. I told the manager that it was my fault and that I would pay for whatever the correct order should have been. The manager continued to disrespect Jackie for NO reason. When I was leaving, I thanked Jackie and honestly told her not to pay attention to that awful person. Immediately after, this person took Jackie to the back, locked her up, and continued to scold and speak to her in a very disrespectful manner. I understand that Jackie might have made a mistake (if she even did), but disrespectful treatment is absolutely unacceptable. Because of this, neither I nor any of my coworkers will ever return...

10/29/24 approx 11:30 I came into this location, the customer service was awful. I was never greeted just given a look, I said I would like a warm bowel. While the young lady is taking my order in the first station a heavy set older lady ask the person behind me what she would like to order, considering there was no room for the lady to walk up she was speaking somewhat loudly in my ear and repeating herself because we were both speaking at the same time at the same station. I ordered several proteins Two ladies stood over my salad bowel counting toppings. In the current climate in which we live where Covid is rapid to stand over ones food and talk/count aloud while pointing to each topping being counted is not only disrespectful but unhealthy. With all the counting that was done the cashier rang me up for chicken bowel and I’m vegan, when brought to her attention no apology was provided . It’s shameful the customer service provided at this location to “certain individuals”. Treat everyone the same and give everyone good customer service would be my advice to this...
