SoulFULL Eats — Local services in Jacksonville

I just wanted to leave a review because I don’t think I’m the target demographic for those that might benefit from these delicious meals, BUT they were certainly NECESSARY to me all the same. I had just given birth to my first baby and my husband and I were on our own after our families had to leave us (they’d been taking care of all the meals for a couple of weeks). And lunches were hard. Dinners were even harder. We were breaking the bank accounts ordering delivery or eating out (and it’s hard to eat healthy around where we live when you’re eating out). I was newly post partum and breastfeeding and needed good nutritious meals. Balanced meals. My husband god save his soul was not a cook and he was focused on juggling work and caring for me and baby. All this to say, we found Soul Full Eats and our prayers were answered. The meals were healthy and delicious and quite frankly saved our lives. It took the stress out of figuring out meals. We could always look forward to eating vs anxious about what’s for dinner each day. Pick ups were super easy. Everything was beautifully packaged and laid out. Those muffins every week made our days. These meals were exactly what we needed to stay afloat for several weeks until we could finally find our footing and start cooking/grocery shopping again. The food was amazing and our hearts were happy. We don’t need to rely on it as much anymore these days but we will continue to treat ourselves with a week here and there when the menu is too good to pass up. When I put the first bite in my mouth I almost started crying (tears of joy). It may be the pregnancy hormones but finally finding a meal prep option that is full of flavor, healthy, and home-cooked was unbelievable. I have tried several other frozen meals and meal delivery services and usually they don’t taste good/reheat well, are bland and don’t have enough seasoning, or the portions are too small. This truly was a home-cooked meal!

Soulfull Eats blew me away with the creative recipes, ALL THE FLAVOR, and having sustainable packaging was a nice touch so I don’t feel guilty throwing away a plastic container every day. This is NOT comparable to other meal prep services, this is like hiring a private chef to cook you fresh meals each week, but at a fraction of the cost. There has not been a single meal that I didn’t like!

If you are a picky eater or don’t like using a lot of seasoning in your food it may or may not be the right fit. You don’t select the meals, it’s a preset menu each week. I personally love not having to think about what to eat and having a creative menu crafted for me has been great. I ordered from SoulFULL because my coworker/friend’s husband suddenly passed and we wanted him to have prepared meals that are easy to heat up and eat. Also a bonus that the food items are healthy and made with good ingredients. Sometimes grief brings unhealthy food habits so this will be a nice option for my friend to have! I saw the great reviews and ordered without even thinking to inquire when it would be delivered. I messaged SoulFULL and quickly got a message asking for my phone number. Shantrell gave me a call almost immediately. She said that they normally have orders in by Fridays and deliveries on Tuesdays (spoiler: it was Tuesday). She informed me that I was in luck though because there was an extra meal package this week. She went on to say that her delivery team would be able to get the package to my friend by that evening or she would personally deliver the package herself. I was so touched by her kindness and consideration. Going above and beyond to provide wonderful customer service at a time in need.
