This store was neat and clothes were well organized and hung, but unfortunately, they have two terrible overlapping policies that make shopping for clothes here impossible. The first is that they no longer let you use the dressing room. They have one, but they will not let you use it. I was told that this is because of the theft rate. So, I thought I would compromise and just buy clothes and take them home to try on and return the ones that didn't fit. But no, they will not accept returns. I was told I could donate them back though. So here is a nice store with neatly hung clothes that nobody can buy with any assurance because they will not allow people to try them on. I bought $26 in pants, and can only use 4 out of the 5 pairs, and only 1 fits really well; To be so burned like that really leaves a sour taste in my mouth, and so even though I love thrifting I will, sadly, not be buying clothes here again. I cannot justify wasting my family's precious resources on items I cannot use or return.
To the Goodwill people reading this review:
My suggestion to you guys is to hire someone specifically to take care of the dressing room, and have people leave their purse or backpack in a locker outside of the dressing room. What you have lost in thefts you are now losing in customers. What you will end up having is a surplus of clothing that you can do nothing with because nobody wants to buy from a store that won't let them try on or return items. I know that even though the items are donated, there are employee wages and building costs to pay, but these things are also tax deductible. Having owned and run a business myself, I can tell you that you need to take care of your customers, or soon you won't have any; and no customers is a lost business, and we you to stay in business because we need a good Goodwill here in Jamestown! Please, don't punish mostly good people for the selfish actions of a few. We are not...
Read moreWorst store imaginable. They do not allow you to try on any clothes you want to buy. I was going to buy at least $100.00 worth of clothes there today, but I like to try my clothes on before buying them to make sure they fit. The lady's working told me no when I asked if I could try them on. I needed clothes very badly, so I tried some shirts on over the top of my clothes, and they said it was very inappropriate and told me that I needed to leave. They wouldn't even let me try them on in the bathroom. If I am not going to be able to try on clothes before I buy them, I'll take my business elsewhere where they let me. If the reason y'all have your changing room's closed is because you don't like to clean, then I suggest you find someone who loves to clean specifically for that area otherwise you're going to lose alot more business.
The stores in Bismarck allow you into their changing rooms. So what's the...
Read moreVisited today. There was a plain white shirt in the men's section marked up to $10, nothing special about it - wasn't even name brand. Also when we checked out all the older lady said to us was the price not hi, not bye or not even have a good day! Well I told her to have a good day anyways because it didn't look like she was having a good day at all. I miss Jackie she was always friendly by telling me hi, bye and to have a good day! Too bad...
