I will never set foot in this store ever again. For starters, the men's clothing is dated and there's little to no variety. Secondly, the way the boss (I'm assuming he was the boss anyways) treated this girl behind the counter was an absolute abuse of power and embarrassing for the poor girl. In a whole store full of workers, the boss decided to singled out a girl who was behind the counter and had a long line of people she was cashing out (me included) after the lady in the front of the line was cashed out she went to leave and her bag set off the door sensor. The girl behind the counter waved her back and asked a few times if she'd want her to take the sensor off her clothes, the lady said no each time and proceeded to leave. The boss then singles out the girl behind the counter and tell her to chase after the woman who just left. The girl behind the counter assures the boss that she had already talked to that customer and she was okay with going home with a sensor on her clothing. He replied by saying he did NOT care if the customer cared about the sensor or not, he does so she HAS to catch her. The girl behind the counter was obviously embarrassed and compliant to his demands to mine and everyone else's shock! I caught the girl before I left and apologized for his behavior towards her as it was heartbreaking to watch-- which she then informed me that she had asthma and it caused her to have an asthma attack... if I could report this anywhere...
Read moreI had the same experience as a few of the other reviews I just read. I was treated like I was beneath the young girl waiting on me. I was looked down upon, touching my clothing, (many of which was brand new in box, still in plastic or on hangers with tags still on them), like they were garbage. Finding 'snags', marks, etc... on brand new items that weren't there to the naked eye. Gave me $19 and change for a brand new leather Medallion purse, tags still on, with the special Medallion cloth wrapped inside, brand new with tags Vanity Fair whole slip, Victoria's secret lingerie and 2 other items. To be treated like less than human and given pennies for these items, I should have donated to Salvation Army and gotten more for a tax write off!! Shame on them. I have been to the Palm Harbor store twice and was treated VERY differently. My items were handled with care, not like they had germs, and I was treated like a worthy human being.
After speaking to the assistant manager, Alia (spelling?) she invited me to come back to the store and gave me my Medallion purse back as a gesture of goodwill for the poor treatment I had received from that employee...she also introduced me to another assistant manager, Kaya(spelling?) who also greeted me warmly and made me feel like a welcomed customer assuring me that I wouldn't be treated that way again if I were to return...so I WILL be returning to give them...
Read moreMake sure you know exactly what youâre bringing to them. make sure to get photo proof! Over heard the teen girls saying âjust take themâ behind the counter while going through bags and looking around at costumers laughing. they gave off the rudiest vibes as soon as you walk in like youâre not welcomed. way over priced junk here. Almost 50$ for dirty shoes with run down bottoms. I bought the same pair brand new for 30$. Shirts 8$ new from store are 10$ here. I brought a bag in and they told me they only took TWO items. I only got 6$! For a whole brand new outfit which is TWO pieces itâs self! It was never worn and new shoes! used the amount to buy an old dress that had rips in it for 9$! still had to pay the difference! I didnât realize any of this until I made it home an hour away. Went through my bag myself. They should 100% tell you what they are taking from you not the amount of items. they donât even give you youâre bag to check until after giving you the amount and receipt. if I knew they took those items and gave me nothing I wouldâve asked for my clothes back! I figured they took two shirts or something. Curves thrift store gives you more store credit. they wouldâve gave me three times the amount Platoâs did. And the people are nicer. Would not recommend anyone to go to any Platoâs. Iâd rather go to a goodwill. Youâd get the same stuff same condition...
