This Store Shows Great Promise and Room for Improvement 5/4/25 (Edited 5/5/25) I shop here fairly often but have mixed opinions about this store. Like and Aldi location, it has it's good and "bad" points. I'll start with their strengths first. 1: The cashiers and floor staff are helpful, polite and more courteous than any Aldi location I've been to. 2. This store is "Disability Friendly". A large, spacious entryway welcomes people with all types of mobility problems, as well as mothers with strollers. Wheelchairs, rollators, personal shopping carts (I walk with one, it helps me keep my balance), can enter the store without worrying about blocking people behind them. The entryway is wide enough for everybody. 3. I reiterate my former statement about this store accommodating disabled individuals. As a person mobility issues, I really appreciate this. They have a decent sized woman's washroom with at least one large stall. Mothers with strollers will find relief not having to leave an empty stroller outside of it. Like I mentioned before, it's also large enough for a walker, rollator, or shopping cart. (Some Aldi locations don't offer this luxury, or when they do, it's a tight squeeze). Their washroom is clean, well lit, adequately stocked with toilet paper and soap, and is spacious enough where customers can maneuver around one another without getting in each other's way. 4. This store carries a lot of well stocked German products. I love their wide selection of eclectic German treats, snacks, chocolates, and cookies. They even have "Special Selected" brand German cakes: "Marzipan Mousse Layered Golden, "Black Forrest", chocolate cake and even stawberry flavored (Deutsche Kuche brand), amongst other tasty German pastries in the frozen section. 5. It's in a prime location in close proximity to cool, fun stores to shop, eat at, and major bus and train lines. 6. (Update as of September 12, 2025: They have an awesome selection of Autumn and fall flavored treats. Of course, no store is perfect and has some drawbacks as well. I''ll list them in chronological order: 1. Not enough cashiers. Sometimes I've waited five minutes (or longer) for a cashier to appear, and the only option was to ring my products on those daunting self-serve checkout machines. This is fine some of the time, but it's not useful if you have to scan produce without a barcode, or you're paying for an order part cash, part debit card. Besides, older folks are bound to be put off by self-serve check out machines, because their not familiar with new technology. Those who don't read and speak English well are also bound to have problems. I understand cashiers have to count their drawer, but leave a "Be Back in 5 Minutes" sign, or have a manager cover for them. 2. This store tends to be scarce on products. One example is one of my favorite products: "Northern Catch Harvest of the Sea (flavored) Tuna" in the foil packets. They were wiped clean off the shelf last time I was here, only one lone empty box lingered on the shelf. It was a disappointment, but I'll keep shopping here. 3. They don't offer many post-holiday marked down goodies, but I DID find some last Christmas 2024. It would be nice to see that for other holidays as well. 4. They don't offer a lot of interest household products. They fall in the "Vanilla" category. (There's a Facebook group called "ALDI Aisle of Shame Community" that consists of Aldi enthusiasts who post photos of exciting Aldi finds). These photos offer a clear snapshot of what customers like. Conclusively, there's' many good aspects about this store, and I personally feel they weight the disadvantages. This location just opened in March 2024. It's a new store, and if you give it time, I truly believe it has potential to grow and flourish. If Google Maps gave me the option, I would rate it four and a half stars. Or, on a scale of one to ten, (Ten being the most optimal), I would give this store a seven. (Sorry my photos don't reflect prices. It's against the rules and is against Google maps policy)...

Very nice and I love the hours! It’s open an hour later than most Chicagoland Aldi stores!

Hopefully they will keep the new shop cleaner than it was recently.

I had a moment this afternoon that I just have to share. After school, my two daughters and I made a quick stop at the store to grab a few items. I didn’t have a quarter for a cart, so I was juggling everything in a box while trying to keep things moving. My youngest was happily playing with her most prized possession when suddenly, her smile vanished. She came over to me, eyes welling up with tears—she had dropped it, and it had rolled underneath the produce cart. We both crouched down with the flashlight on my phone, trying to spot it under there (and yes, it was just as gross as you’d imagine). That’s when Angie, a kind employee working nearby, noticed us and asked if we had dropped something. We explained the situation, and without hesitation, she offered to help. She let us know the carts were on wheels and quickly moved it aside so we could look. But even after searching, the treasured item was nowhere to be found. My daughter was clearly heartbroken. Angie then told us she’d be right back and ran to the front of the store. A few minutes later, she returned from the back office—holding an identical replica of what my daughter had lost. The joy on my daughter’s face in that moment was absolutely priceless. Thank you, Angie, for your incredible kindness. You turned a tough moment into a beautiful memory we...

I did my shopping on instacart at this location for the very first time. When I went to go pick up my food and I confronted the employees because I have not been helped after 15 minutes. When I spoke to the person bringing out the food and the manager, they both indicated that I lied of my arrival. In the description of the location where I parked I was very detailed of my location. I do not see how I would have been able to put that information prior to arriving if I've never been there and do not know the layout at this Aldi. The manager was not helpful and sided with her employee calling me a liar. Also to discover that they left my food without informing where it was at, another customer had to let me know. After telling the manager that both she and the person that delivers my food we're calling me liars to my face then she changed her story and blamed the instacart app. The employee offered to watch the video which I am willing to return back to the store to prove the poor conduct that the staff provided, I was unable to stay and watch it then since I was already late for Father's Day and I was the one...
