Kohl's — Local services in Jeffersonville

I purchased a shark cordless vacuum from them a couple days ago. I wrapped it and gave it as a christmas present. When it was opened it was visibly used. The cords were unwrapped and all over the box, and there was dirt and hair on the bottom of the vacuum. I went to return it and the customer service representative told me to go get a new one and she said, ”same brand same price”. I proceeded to go back there and look for a new one. They did not have the same one I purchased in stock so I picked up another one that was basically the same. I did not know the price because the price was not posted.So I took it back to the counter and they returned the used one. They went to ring up the second vacuum and it was 350 and they were not willing to do anything about the price. When originally I bought the first vacuum with a store discount and the manager gave me a discount to pressure me into signing up for a credit card. I told them that it was not my fault they sold me a used one and did not have anymore in stock and they acted like there was nothing they could do about the situation. I've been buying my Levi blue jeans from Kohl's for well over a decade. The prices are average. For the last few years they have been $42.99 and sometimes $38.99. They claim it to be a sale price but that's just what they always are at any store you walk into in America. I went to go buy a pair tonight and they had a sale of buy one get one 1/2 off. I only wanted one pair but thought what the hell. I grabbed 2 pair and went to the check out. It rang up to over $90. I said that can't be right. The guy said they were $59.00 a piece with one being half off. I told him they aren't $59.00 a pair anywhere on the planet and he found a little bitty price tag and sure enough it said $58.99. The damn sale was about $1.00 more than the normal price for 2 pair!! I didn't want 2 pair to begin with so I just put them both back. I just ordered 2 pair from Amazon for $68.

Don't get me wrong. I believe in capitalism and I believe that people can ask any price they want for anything. But don't use a make believe market price and rig it to make it look like it's on sale. It's basically lying and cheating. If you don't want to put them on sale then just don't. But respect your customers and quit trying to...

Super clean and at least one staff member went ABOVE AND BEYOND. We were there on Sunday and needed to use the restroom. The Ladies' Room was closed and clearly not going to open anytime soon (they even had the lights turned off). Several staff members walked past the 5 of us ladies waiting patiently for the Family Restroom which was occupied, until one staff member came back out. Julia asked if we were waiting to use the facilities and when we told her yes and she heard the sad little kid wailing from the Family Restroom, she asked if we'd seen anyone enter the Men's Room. When we told her we hadn't she opened the door and announced her intent to let us use it. The Men's Room was unoccupied, so she commandeered it for us and stood guard while we were all able to go. The restroom had clearly been cleaned and was well maintained. There's one thing when a staff member helps customers with product questions and issues, but when they go above and beyond for something like this, they deserve to be commended.
