So today is November 10th the day that all the new consoles have come out. Two days ago i asked someone at this gamestop if they had new consoles coming for pick up in store. The person who helped me said they would have a couple extras If i showed up early on release day, but they would only have a few. So today, i showed up to the gamestop in the Treasure Coast Mall at 9:30 before they opened to get my spot in line for the new consoles. Candice was working today. As im walking up to the store she asks if i had pre ordered my system or if i was a walk in. I told her i was a walk in. Mind you there was only 5 people there at the time i showed up. Candice tells me that she didnt have any xboxs for walk ins they were all pre orders and she recieved no extras. Everyone there was there with a pre order. I go to the next gamestop by walmart after wasting my time at the one in the mall and theres a line out the door already. I ask an employee if they had any extras and he told me “No sorry, every gamestop only recieved 6 extra xboxs on top of the pre orders.” Me hearing this went back to the gamestop at the mall about 30 mins later just to get a videogame cause at this point im over today. Candice is in the back of the store, i ask another employee up front if they had any extra xboxs in stock and he told me no sorry we got a couple extras earlier but they sold out. I re mentioned this to candice after she comes out of the back while im buying my game, she says yeah sorry my stock had been sold out since way before we opened this mroming. I was literally one of the only people to have showed up that early to get the xbox at this store without a pre order and she turned me away before the doors had even opened.. everyone there in line had a pre order on the system. So idk what happened to the other 6 new xboxs they had in stock at this location but i think she back doored alot of people, and im very mad. I will not shop at gamestop anymore no one gave me any solid information about this release and i realllllly feel like i got lied to and cheated today by the store manager of this location. Read moreCame in around 4ish to look at the holiday deals. They had a deal on the candy controller where you create your own. It was everything you needed for 49.99 (is what the sign said next to the candy controller plates). Hubby gets everything brings it up to the counter along with a Tshirt I wanted. The lady tells us she has no idea how to do the deal. She said no manager is on duty and that she can't help us because she has no idea how to make the deal pop up on her computer. Someone else working asked if he should call the manager because she wasn't in and the lady working said 'no don't do it'. I'm a manager at a local business and I always have my phone ready just incase there's a problem at the store. I imagine as manager of a GameStop the manager here would be ready for any phone call. The girl working then told us to come back a different day. We told her 4 times we don't have time to come on a different day and we wanted the deal the sign said. The deal was NOT expired. Will make sure to not buy anything that has any deals if this lady is working. We had to leave and take our money to a different game stop across town because this girl refused to help us. The people at the GameStop by Walmart in Stuart were very helpful and we got the deal! Read moreThe employees there are very rude and sexist. My partner went in to refund a purchased game that did not work as advertised. The one employee was arguing with them and being sexist and treating them badly. They were told on the phone that all they needed was the game and they would be given a refund or in-store credit. Then the manager walked over and was making jokes and he was even more rude, he wasn’t taking us seriously and said, “I’m not trying to play with you.” But he was and it was genuinely such a horrible experience and with the initial purchase, we were supposed to receive a warranty sticker and was not given one.
