I should have known better why nobody was waiting in line to eat there around lunch time when literally everywhere else had people in the line waiting. I thought that was strange but despite my better judgement I gave it a shot because not every taco place you can go to has birria tacos and the. Consume that goes with it which they call "stew" which it is definitely not, is an extra two or three fifty whatever it may be it was too much if you're getting at least two tacos which I did. I opened the box up and it was two barely filled with meat barely grilled on the outside tacos that I guess we're supposed to be birria tacos clearly no consummate fried on the outside with the cheese on the shell but thankfully there was a little bit of cheese on the outside like it's supposed to have but it was mostly all bread and cheese with hardly any meat at all and I mean a tiny pinch of meat. I politely went back up to them and said hey I just paid $15 for two tacos and one jarrito can I please get some more meat in my taco or like what's the deal is this how y'all do it. So then they took the old tacos which I'm sure they were going to save to eat for later instead of letting me keep them and they made me two new ones that were the exact same at this point I realized it was just 316 year old girls working there and no managers so I was hungry annoyed and just wanted to eat something so I said screw it I'll eat them and when I bit into them they had a funky taste. Now I may not be Mexican but I did grow up in California around traditional Mexican food not Florida or Texas Tex-Mex play actual real Mexican food and these tasted funny weren't cooked all the way and were overpricedif there was plenty of meat in them it would be a different story but as someone who has literally been a chef for 18 years or more I know the cost of beef and I know that it would not cost the owner of this establishment hardly any more money at all to put a full amount of beef in those tacos I promise a 2 oz ramekin or less per Taco is plenty there was not even one ounce of meat in these tacos it was literally like a 0.5 oz of meat it was probably actually less than that but I'm super pissed and I wasted my money and I'm sure those little girls wouldn't know how to refund me my money anyways. I would give this place one star if I could but obviously that's not an option. Also as a side they gave me four overcooked yet somehow grease filled terrible tasting chips that were really bad and like I said I know how much it would cost the owner to do a small handful of chips with those tacos it wouldn't hardly cost a thing. I know food costs and I know the beef the consomme and the tortilla chips barely cost him anything for how much he makes off all of them. maybe if you want your business to not go the way of the Jamaican place or the other two places that went out of business in the mall food court maybe you should actually not do the customers dirty. There was even another customer there complaining about the food as I was going to leave. I really wish I could do a redo of them made right or get my money back but I highly doubt that's going to happen. Maybe next time train the 16 year old girls you're having work for you actually know how to make a damn Taco properly it's one of the most simple things to make on the planet and the fact that they couldn't even figure out to put enough meat in there by the second time is insane to me. Very dissatisfied literally have a weird taste in my mouth and figuratively I suppose. Won't be back again and I suggest if they don't do something that you don't go...
Read moreI’ve come here several times, mainly because my kids love Mexican food. Every time I’ve come the service is awful at this spot in the mall. The staff is rude and very stingy on the portions and ingredients. You even have to pay extra for lettuce! I asked for a little more cheese and they refused and made me feel cheap because “I should’ve paid for more cheese if I wanted extra cheese.” Well, there was barely any cheese on my burrito to begin with! I then asked the owner / manager and instead of apologizing for the snarky customer service, he offered to give me a refund instead! So, he’d rather lose the business altogether and throw out the burrito I just bought than give a little extra cheese or simply apologize. Not the smartest business people. Hah!
So, I got my money back and went to Charley’s instead which is...
Read moreSo, I usually never complain about anything, but I’ve been really disappointed for a few months now and tried to ride it out because maybe it was temporary but todays issue out of many was when I ordered the chicken burrito, it was missing the cilantro, onions and beans. It was really plain (only chicken and rice) and I hadn’t noticed until I left. There was nothing wrong with the girls service, but how they make the food now is different and they always seem to forget to add a bunch of ingredients. My friends who also love going here had the same issues. Also, the burritos have been extremely small compared to a couple months ago,...
