Asian Chao — Restaurant in Florida

Ate here on May 2, 2023. My dining companion and I had the lunch special with two egg rolls and two medium drinks. Our total was $40.18. That seemingly high price would have been fine if the food was good, but for the most part, it wasn't. I had the beef broccoli and bourbon chicken with vegetable rice. The bourbon chicken was decent, but was dry and went cold quickly since it had been under a hot lamp for God knows how long. The beef broccoli had the taste and consistency of soggy pastrami. The rice was flavorless, and I suspect the rice and egg rolls were cooked in a dishwasher due to their complete lack of flavor. I had to ask for soy sauce and duck sauce to try to make this abomination have some flavor, but I was only given four packs of soy sauce for two meals. My request for duck sauce was completely ignored. Overall, it was a mostly flavorless and lifeless meal. It wasn't offensive, and it was edible, but it was about two levels below what an MRE with the same food might have been. I do believe there is a reason the samples given in the food court are always bourbon chicken. Everything else tastes like styrofoam. Was just at the Asian Chow in the Treasure Coast Mall Jensen Beach Florida and found a piece of metal in my food. I took my food back and brought it to the so-called manager's attention that was on duty and she totally disregarded the fact that a customer had just found metal in their food. She said it happens all the time because it's from the scrub brush that we use. I asked her if you know that it's a problem why don't you change how you clean your dishes? And then I proceeded to ask her to take the orange chicken and white rice off the line so that there was no risk of anyone else getting metal in their food and cutting their mouth. She proceeded to tell me she wasn't going to do that, there was no need for her to do that there wasn't going to be a problem. Really!! A customer just found metal in their food and you don't think that's a problem??!! Got a number to another manager name and he was honestly no better than the last one I dealt with. My friends and I visited this location and before ordering we realized the rice was old . I asked how long it would be for a fresh batch and Remy the lady who prepared our food automatically said 15 minutes& I said ok I’ll wait. She then immediately approached the window and returned to my friends and rudely said that it would be 7 minutes. We left and returned in 10 minutes. After returning and began to order the first meal, double bourbon chicken with rice . When ordering a double amount meat we automatically thought that meant double and not less. When I asked Remy about the portion size she stated that is our portion size and she reopened the plate and tossed one piece of chicken in the Togo box .Remy then said it would be $1.59 to add another side and we refused.
