Need more classes between 5-7. Favorite instructors are Grace Bonnie and Orysia, they are very good at explaining various positions and very patient/kind which is a big plus for beginners.
Some instructors are quite bad at explaining various movements. Obviously many people are new to Pilates so rather than shouting out whatever “pose” we are supposed to do, maybe just explain it a little bit or demonstrate it? As others said the studio has high ceiling and voices can echo a lot - so these instructors really needs to start using microphone or just speak clearer and explain better.
Bonnie / Orysia - Fantastic. They both have very positive, pleasant vibes. Even when some students are totally new to the class they teach them well and they’re very kind about it. Both of their classes have happy mood and it just makes the Pilates session extra relaxing.
Grace - rarely see her in JC class but she is amazing. Very experienced and amazing teacher. Clear and concise instructions.
Irene - not very kind. When there are beginners in the class she doesn’t really help them out. Often just stands in one position with her arms crossed, doesn’t really make sure people are in the right position etc.
Kristina - speaks way too much. More than a quarter of the lesson is spent on listening to her, where she does not let students move. We literally have to stop and listen until she finishes her long complicated explanation (not instruction). I hope she knows that other teachers explain better.
Yehoshua - tries to hype up the class, if you like those you will enjoy him. I want more calm Pilates session so not for me. Not super good at giving instructions - not recommended...
Read morePLEASE trust the negative reviews! I hate to post something negative but people need to be warned about this place. This is solely for the protection of others who are considering a membership here. It is a completely hit-or-miss experience. The quality of the teachers varies so drastically that it completely changes the class. Some are so mean, unclear, and unhelpful. Some I have seen get visibly frustrated and disrespect students. I have witnessed the staff/teachers here gossiping multiple times about others right in front of customers. It’s wild. The whole experience is awkward and the environment is not inviting or friendly at all. Teachers/staff seem like they don’t even want to be there and quickly rush in and out and sometimes even cut class short. The price you pay here is wildly out of touch compared to the quality and their contracts are super tight to get out of. The intro class was good but totally didn’t align with the things we actually did in class and left you feeling lost— and again depending on the teacher… not all of them are willing to help or guide you. Being physically adjusted and moved by some of the teachers who were also angry was such a weird and humiliating experience. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and keep trying to come back and thought maybe I just had a few “off” experiences but that was not the case. After months of trying to enjoy and see the best in this place… it just wasn’t happening. The proof is in these other negative reviews. Beware, ladies! Save your money. You won’t leave here feeling very good. Maybe the other studios are better but this one is just totally bad in many ways....
Read moreClub Pilates offers a solid workout experience, but there are some notable drawbacks that prevent it from reaching its full potential. I'd rate it three stars based on my experiences. Firstly, the classes tend to be consistently booked up, often requiring reservations made well in advance—sometimes up to two weeks ahead. This can be quite inconvenient for those with busy schedules or those who prefer a more spontaneous approach to fitness.
Additionally, even with a monthly membership there's an issue with late cancellation fees, which feels counterintuitive, especially when there's a waitlist of eager participants ready to take the vacated spot.
Another significant drawback is the outdated online system. In this digital age, it's surprising that Club Pilates hasn't streamlined their booking and payment processes. It's frustrating not being able to reschedule classes or update payment methods online. Instead, members are required to call in for any changes, often being redirected to the manager, which can be time-consuming and inefficient.
In conclusion, while Club Pilates offers effective workouts, the inconvenience of booking, late cancellation policies, and outdated online systems hinder the overall experience. With some improvements in these areas, it could easily become a top-tier fitness.
It is also the similar price for a monthly membership as some of the high end gyms but without any...
