Liberty Landing — Local services in Jersey City

I have been traveling this ferry service for the last 16 years. The service for the most part is very reliable. The crew is wonderful . I have had a posiitive relationship with everyone on board, except for the blonde female crew member that works the AM shift. Her disposition is combative, rude and insulting. She always seems to have an attitude of that of a disgruntled employee. My major complaint about this Statue Cruises employee is that she takes pictures of passengers sailing, without their permission, and sends it to parties unknown to...

Live down the street and rely on this to get to work. Unfortunately the service is highly unreliable. Just last night we got stuck on the harbor when the ferry broke down and had to be towed in. Then today service stopped mid afternoon without any communication. If it were not for NY Waterway operating a similar line, people would have a real problem. Although right now I'm not sure how the folks who parked in Liberty State Park this morning are going to be able to get to their cars...

We took the ferry from here our last time into NYC. It was quick & affordable, though oriented towards commuters. The ferries come every half hour I believe, which is nice. It wasn't too busy when we went, and the staff was friendly.

The parking there was reasonable as well and widely available, so I found it to be a very comfortable way to get to NYC for a suburbanite like me that's averse to driving into the city directly.
