Jeremy has the worst customer service skills of any person I've ever met. Not even customer service skills, people skills in general. Stay away from this store!.. At least when he's working. Every other worker I've met has been fantastic. But I will not enter that place again when he's behind the register. Probably about 50% of the trade comics that I own. I have purchased from this place.

I buy trade paperbacks all the time. Today I went in there and bought one that had water damage. Significant water damage. Now here's the deal, if Jeremy sees this, he will come on here and say that the product he sold was fine and had no damage. he is lying to you. Then he told me to basically get out of the store. And he was pompous and arrogant when he said it.

Something told me to stay away from this store. I've had problems with him in the past and This is just how he does business, knowingly sales broken stuff then refusing to make it right. This guy is a snake in the grass.

UPDATE! RANDALL AND FINCH, made the situation right. I went up to the other location and explained myself.. that's what it took to correct this. I told them that I buy books from 8th demension all the time, they finally gave me the refund. Those guys did an excellent job in hearing me out and making it right. I do not buy buy comics just to return them. I buy them to own them. I explained to them that I have purchased half my collection from 8th, this is not something that I would do. I don't typically return anything. For anyone who sees this, stay away from that other location when Jeremy is working.. everyone else I've met is fine. If the owners see this, it would do them some good to separate themselves from Jeremy. He will end up bringing this...

My original review was 5 stars, but I no longer feel they deserve that. After some time of supporting this shop for its decent staff and Pokemon product, I’ve decided to no longer shop here due to their new scalper-level pricing. They used to sell packs for reasonable prices, but they recently got a restock in and they doubled, nearly tripled, prices of what they got in. Most of these packs can be found at vending machines for $4.50 and except for 151 and Prismatic, other shops sell them for close to msrp. Even for 151 and Prismatic this shop is WAY over market and out of tune with what other places price them at. Almost $20 for ONE Prismatic pack is pure greed. Not too long ago I landed a Prismatic etb from a vending for msrp. If I spent that same money here for single packs of Prismatic, I’d walk out holding two packs. TWO. I don’t shop at Mad Rat, but even THEY have lower prices and that’s really saying something.

They’ll probably deflect this as they’ve done before and blame their distributors or whatever, but I just can’t be bothered to hear it out anymore. I appreciated how they handled some issues and product releases, but them selling out is such a red flag and I don’t believe in supporting places like this who preach community then turn around and price gouge. Between that, the extremely low trade in value, the horribly priced few singles in the case, and the general lack of pulls from their...

I had a strange experience there. I was there on opening day while they were still unpacking boxes and they were amazing. They went out of their way to help they were VERY knowledgeable and informative (especially since I'm not a big comic person and was looking for a place to start getting into them). The spent about 45 min trying to help me find a comic I would be into and they were very patient and nice about it. I returned in April ('13) and they guys who were there the first time weren't in and there was this one guy who looked to be 19 and he was not very good. He spent his time hanging out with tow other people and each time I tried to politely get his attention for some assistance he didn't seem to notice. It took about 30 min for him to get around to asking me if I wanted to CHECK OUT. By that time I had put back most of the books I had initially wanted to purchase and just stuck with one. I'm not going to let this one experience completely color my experience there, but he's the reason I ranked service "very-good" and...

8th Dimension Comics is, in my opinion, 4*. Very nice owner. He is very polite and friendly. 8th, has a nice game room, and it is very clean. 8th has a great selection of graphic DC/Marvel novels. Here are the negatives, and to collectors like myself, it has its severity. There are not a lot of back issues that have value. It is like drawers of older-no valued comics. The majority are $1-$5 books. The BIG issue is that the new comics that have just come in, the past month (I'll say, new) are jammed into slots and have creases and major creases to say. There are collectors out there that collect for future value. People collect comics for a reason to collect. It seems that 8th comics think the only reason to purchase the comics is to only read them. I wish I could give 8th a higher rating, but I can't.

I am SO excited that 8th Dimension has a storefront again! It's better than ever! 8th Dimension has the cleanest store and the most knowledgeable staff ever. My kids are now old enough to really enjoy the store. If it tells you how well stocked the kids' section is, my kids spent all their time looking at books instead of the toys. If you have never been, it's well worth the trip no matter where you are in Houston.
