I’m a frequent visitor of this restaurant. Today I placed a order to go. I specifically told the person who took my pick up order over the phone that I would like 3 pounds Felix Spicey. When I got home I noticed the crawfish were regular I called and politely explained to the person who answered and they admitted to writing down regular. And admitted to being at fault. Meagan (the manager) gets on the phone with an attitude. I then explained to her I can bring the crawfish back. They were very flavorless and the potatoes were hard. She then said they don’t do refunds and they are out of crawfish. Then she accused me of not ordering a flavor and per Meagan when a flavor is not ordered the crawfish are regular ..When clearly my receipt shows I ordered Felix crawfish . Meagan then proceeded to say they were out of crawfish and will have more on Tuesday. I said good. I can come back on Tuesday. She then proceeded with an attitude and said if you come back Tuesday and order crawfish you will have to pay for them. And then she also ended the call. I called back to get the number for the person that she reports to… however she declined to give me that information. I would love to speak with the person she reports to.

This was mine and my husband's first time to visit the French Quarter Cajun Seafood Restaurant. We have driven by so many times. We finally decided to give them a try. We were pleasantly surprised. We started out with side salads that were very fresh, cold and crispy. No limp or wilted lettuce here. My husband had the Stuffed Catfish Vermillion. He loved every bit of it. I tasted it and it was delicious. I had the Cajun Executioner but asked to have it grilled. It was scrumptious! So flaky and tender and not over seasoned like so many other restaurants. We shared the bread pudding, which was a regret and a huge mistake. I wish we would have ordered one for each of us. Wow! It's was amazing. Compliments to the Chef. Kudos to the owners for a nice clean restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious food. Diana made our drinks. We had Meltdown Margaritas. She did a great job. She was very accommodating and pleasant, answering all of our questions. I messed up the presentation on the picture with the grilled Catfish by mixing the red beans and rice. I couldn't help myself, I had to dig in. (Apologies to the Chef for destroying your work of art.) You'll definitely be seeing us again.

Wow. I was not expecting my second time here to be soooo disappointing. I gave three stars ONLY because the first time (same Redfish Louisiana meal) was delicious. However, great restaurants are consistent. French Quarter clearly isn't there yet. Pictures couldn't capture how terrible the bread was. How do you screw up garlic bread?? The gumbo was watery and inedible. Had a burnt flavor to it. It seems the cook tried to thin out that flavor by adding water when they really should've just started over as opposed to serving that trash. The Redfish Louisiana was either reheated after refrigeration or just way overcooked and seriously lacking in flavor. Couldn't be captured in a picture. The only upside to this order was the shrimp embrochette and the bomb dipping sauce it came with. Overall, today I wasted money, and I'm not inclined to eat here again.

So the food is excellent. And trish is great and always has excellent service when I attend here . Daynnna and her boyfriend unfortunately always have a bad attitude and don't want to issue earned reward points or veterans discount whenever they see me in store . I recently came last Monday with veterans and co workers and daynnna who used to be a server was the manager that day we watched her boyfriend clock in . He was real rude upon asking him first why he ignored us and when we we asked about items on the menu how they were he acted like he didn't understand. Eventually telling him to get the manager which I didn't know at the time was his girlfriend.. daynnna comes to the back to work with him and assist him he still had a attitude and doesn't looked like he was coached at all on respect and customer service because he didn't want to give me any reward points I had earned which I usually use when I visit so when I asked for my veterans discount he and dayannna his girlfriend didn't want to give it me saying I had to have my id. Mind u I come here almost everyday because I work across the street. So eventually dayanna goes on about policy about my veterans discount which I wouldn't have had to ask for if her boyfriend would have given me my reward points I earn from eating there everyday. I payed and left and came back this following Thursday now dayannna is there and as I'm going to take my usual seat she tells me that her boyfriend Armando is working there and I would have to sit somewhere else .she tells me I was disrespectful on multiple occasions and so on and so forth.. then she tells me she is the manager and I can only come in when Trish is there . I was appalled and not sure how the owner allows a manger and boyfriend to run his/her business and threatening customers because they have a little authority. This is a prime example of why u don't allow relationships amongst employees. I'm just writing this review mainly for the owner because I've expressed my concerns about her boyfriends customer service and attitude on multiple occasions to the retired police officer who always greets in the front but once my complaints reached his girlfriend the manager I believe this is why they got ignored and his attitude towards me and my business partners got worse. I know she will eventually try to deny me service because she clearly doesn't like me for complaining about her boyfriends attitude but it's business and since they are in a relationship she took...

Received an email for a 5 lbs/$30 crawfish special, and decided to check it out. Have had crawfish here before and it was decent.

This time, the crawfish came out piping hot, but I think the cook must have changed because there was a ton of seasoning dumped on the shells, instead of maybe in the boil water.

Most of the crawfish were pretty small, and initially I thought that was likely why they were running a special. However, as I started to eat, I noticed that many crawfish were limp and floppy, and when I peeled them, the tails were mushy and the meat was crumbling.

There was a lot of grass and derbies in with the crawfish, and several obviously crushed and dead before boiling crawfish.

I did try to pick my way through and find some good ones, but after a couple that tasted fishy, I then found several (like ten) in rapid succession that were oozing brown or black out of the heads after I pulled them apart. (Not the healthy yellow stuff, I know what that is. This was brown and black oozing grossness.)

I finally gave up. Shellfish food poisoning is no punk, and I decided this was feeling like a risky endeavor.

Server finally turned back up and asked if I wanted him to pack up the rest (about 4 out of 5 pounds remained completely untouched). Uhm, no thanks. I tried to point out to him what the issue was, but comprehension wasn’t there, as he kept asking me if I wanted to take them with me.

Pretty obvious the cook did not take the time to clean or sort the crawfish this go round. Place was not busy while I was there, maybe that should have been a warning.

Two stars because the fried shrimp and French fries were great, as always. I’ve been going here for years, but lately it hasn’t been the same, and after this latest round, well, geez.

(For those wondering, I’m not angry or even upset, I’m just disappointed. I paid the whole ticket, there was no offer to replace the food or whatever, but I didn’t really expect it. Hoping I don’t develop food poisoning in the next few hours, and not sure if I’ll be...

We came in on Tuesday, the 15th, of December.. Host was wonderful. She sat us right away.. We asked for a booth. There were 5 booths, 2 were open. But she stated that government regulations surrounding COVID required that they social distanced the table arrangement.. no problem there..

10 minutes after we were sat, they filled the booths with other people..?

Michael was our server. Initially, he was prompt and attentive.. After the food runner gave us our meal, we had to flag Michael down for sides and sauces.. (I've served for almost 15yrs & every place I've worked at trained us to go check on our guest after they've had their food for about 2 minutes or so.. just to make sure everything came out the way they asked, or, to see if they need anything to accompany their meals... etc..) Michael never checked on us.

I had a piece of a brillow pad in my food. I flagged Michael down to bring that to his attention. He simply took the item outta my hands & thru it in the garbage, as if I couldn't find the garbage myself..🤓

(Every restaurant I've worked at, whenever there's a customer complaint, or issue like object in food, they've always trained us to apologize, take the plate to the kitchen, notify a manager, the manager goes to the table & apologizes, & asks the patron if they can remake that same item or offer them something else..) That never happened..

Instead, he asked if we were ready for the tab.. I reminded him that I had metal in my entree & he was like '.. oh yeh.. would you like for me to you another one to-go..?'

He did & that was it.. we heard him offering other tables desserts.. but not us.. which was fine. We just noticed a difference in how we didn't get the level of service we thought we should have..

The 5 cheese macaroni was literally Velveeta shells & cheese.. not worth the $14.00😌

Overall, food was ok, but the overall experience was not worth going...
