This is the first time I’ve been to this location since it was Aguirres. The decor is good, and our server Gabe was phenomenal. He checked with the kitchen for any request/question we had, and he always kept us informed if there was a delay with food or drink. A few things I would recommend would be:

Menu: The first part when you open the menu is a weekly list of specials and then you get to the appetizers/regular menu. I would take the weekly specials out and leave them on the tables as a separate menu to order from. There was not a non-alcoholic drink menu that I could find, I asked for bottled Mexican coke, and then agua frescas to be told neither was offered. They do have fresh lemonade however. Coffee was not listed on the menu which I got a latte after my meal, and there were many options for coffee our waiter gave us that were not on a menu. I also did not see desserts in the regular menu, perhaps having a separate dessert menu would be helpful.

-Food: Overall the food was good, and the price is wonderful. I wish I had greater variety of salsa- neither salsa was spicy. When you order queso however, out waiter offered us pickled or fresh jalapeños on the side, and the pickled jalapeños appear to be made in house or they are a good canned batch of jalapeños. I got two shrimp tacos for the Saturday seafood special- and I wish the tacos were tostadas instead. The shrimp was cooked well, and the coleslaw was well done, but the sauce completely ruined the integrity of the tortillas and it became a wet, sloppy mess. Maybe using tortillas mixtas also would work since that’s a thicker consistency than regular flour tortillas. I ended up using tortilla chips to scoop out the coleslaw filling out of the tortilla, which by the way the tortilla chips are the excellent amount of crunch and flavor. I wish the shrimp tacos were made as a ceviche style to give a raw, or crudo, element to the crunchiness of the coleslaw and the lime would help cut the creaminess of the coleslaw. There was supposed to be chipotle in the tacos somewhere- but I couldn’t identify or taste it. If there was a giant tortilla chip tostada served cold with the shrimp ceviche and the coleslaw, guacamole/avocado, with chipotle I could eat that all day. The charro beans are perfection, and I didn’t get anything else but I feel the dishes have great potential to be elevated and really delicious, since the foundation of the food is really good.

I would definitely come back again to see if the service and consistency of the food...

I ordered 2 burritos dinners for curbside pick up last Saturday night 7/18, around 9:30 pm. Upon trying to eat the burritos noticed the dough was raw. There were no char marks or browning on the flour tortillas. Using the fork to eat it was like stirring raw dough. The filling was tasty so tried to eat it but it just got more raw as I approached the center. The other burrito, I stuck a fork in it and was the same way like stirring dough. I had a stomach ache all night from eating the little bit I did. The food must have contained some sort of bacteria since it was undercooked.

I went back to the restaurant Sunday afternoon for a refund of the meal and my 25% tip around $35. I spoke with Daniella who claim to be the manager. She said their policy was no refunds on food. They could remake or give me a store credit. First, I wanted a burrito Saturday night not Sunday afternoon. Secondly They insisted there was nothing wrong with the raw Flour tortilla, the sauce made it soft. Why would I want another raw flour tortilla? I explained to her, it wasn't the softness, the dough was raw.

Daniella said she would see what could be done and went to the back for about 10 minutes talking with someone on the phone. She came back briefly to seat some customers who were waiting to be seated. Daniella never addressed my issue again. Instead a guy came up front to tell me their store policy is no refunds. I guess she wasn't the manager. I ask what about the store policy to cook food thoroughly and prepared correctly? He had no answer. I asked where is their no refund policy? It wasn't on the receipt or posted anywhere in the restaurant. Apparently this restaurant does not care about customer satisfaction or serving fully cooked food. I have had their burritos in the past but this is the first time back since the beginning of Covid-19. In the past, the flour burritos dough was cooked thoroughly, no raw dough and was also ordered with sauce.

Apparently this restaurant has improperly trained cooks but do nothing for the customers when they mess up. They stand behind their poorly prepared food.

They leave me no other choice other than to spread the word about how they treat customers. I will be asking my CC Company for a charge back. I shouldn't have to pay for inedible food. The food had to be thrown...

We used to go to the original location under a different name ( Aguirre's or something) and enjoyed the atmosphere and the food and the service. I am not sure if the new location and name change also had a menu change but we were a little disappointed with the way too "Tex-Mex" taste and way too cheesy tasting food vs authentic dishes like we remember from our visits to the old location. The presentation of the entrees were above our expectations and artistic and very appealing. The food was freshly prepared and served hot. I'm not sure if the menu changed from Mexican to Italian but it seemed like Mexican looking style and named dishes with an Italian flavor. The service was outstanding and quite remarkable. We were friendly greeted and sat at our choice of table promptly and offered free chips and red and green salsa which were both excellent. We were visited by our waitress and what seemed like a manager. One of the cooks actually delivered our additional order we placed mid visit. The kitchen, restrooms and entire restaurant was very clean and professionally maintained. The atmosphere was a mix match of a street fiesta with cheap looking hanging lights and an overall mix match of decor. A little confusing. Overall: GREAT, OUTSTANDING service! The people were very attentive and seemed to authentically care and left us with an overall well taken care of and guest service oriented feeling. Atmosphere was found wanting and a confusing mix of a street fiesta feel and a sort of garage band feel. Food presentation and preparation was superb. Maybe, we just are not into the Italian cheesy flavor we found in our orders. I'm sure other customers may rate the food...

Even though this place is beautiful, the atmosphere feels amazing, the decor is total eye candy, and the service & hospitality were above & beyond superb, food presentation & creativity was a solid 👌, I have to be brutally honest. I just do not like the food. The fajita meat had a flavor I could not pinpoint, and it was just terrible. The flour tortillas are fresh but not fully cooked, and I saw a few people struggling to open them to make a taco, including myself, as they were sticky & all wadded up. No attempt to fix them. They looked like whoever is back there making them was pissed. I tried other dishes before at their old location, and even though I work in the area and it is super convenient to stop by for lunch specials, I won't. This is my first time at the new location, and I am willing to give it another chance. I also ordered a skinny patron margarita with a patron floater, and it it was pretty! But that was it. IF it had Patron or ANY other liquor (as a double shot), you would've tasted it, being that the glass was small. It was probably the weakest drink I EVER had. We ordered sopapillas to go.🤦🏻‍♀️Another disappointment. They were more like buñuelos with a side of honey. We didn't eat them. My hubby, on the other hand, couldn't wait for this place to open, and he knew I didn't want to come. He LOVES this place. The ribs are his absolute favorite. My husband likes anything. Again, it's a beautiful place, and I will try again one day, when i lose a bet or my husband gets to choose where we go & and hopefully, I can change my review. Don't take MY word for it. Go check this place out and give it a shot!
