My mother called me yesterday, 05/11/2023 and she expressed that she was and is still very upset with how she was treated. To begin with, the cashier that was checking both my mother and sister was rude from the beginning. With an attitude towards my sister, she told her that she should have let her know that they were paying separately. My sister is not the type to defend her self and because of my mothers language barrier she did not understand what she said to my sister but knew that she was not polite with the way she said it. THEN, the cashier missed a piece of clothing, placed it in the bag, and checked them out. Of course, because she missed to charge that one item, the alarm went off. My mother was nice about getting the bag checked out by the security guy as she thought maybe the cashier forgot to remove the plastic tag thing. My mother mentioned that the security guy was kind and understanding but the moment the cashier found out about it, she said my mother was STEALING??????? Excuse me????? My mother then processed with trying to defend herself but of course, she could not. The security guy told my mother kindly that she could go ahead and pay for the one piece of clothing. The cashier then processed to say that she has to get back in line if she want to pay. Are you serious? Overall, I am VERY upset and so is my mother. We have been to this Ross many times and have never had an issue. I expected an apology to my mother as she will be returning. Read moreThis Ross is horrible!! The customer service is the absolute worst! I purchased some sneakers and pants around 6:30 pm. I did not try the pants on in the store but at home. I noticed that they were used and the sneakers looked like they had been walked on pavement. When I returned them the cashier talked about me to the manager…they acted as though I had used them and was trying to return them. She told me since I did not buy them from that Ross I had to return them to the Ross I purchased them from because she does not put items that are used on her floor. I refused to take them back so she relented and told me I will need to check my merchandise more carefully before leaving the store going forward. Normally, I would chalk this up to them having a bad day but I personally witnessed the same cashier treat a customer who was returning a chipped soap dispenser the same way and she made the identical comment to her!! She asked her why did she buy it if she knew it was chipped. The poor woman tried to explain that she did not notice the chip until after she got home and used it. The cashier and another cashier talked about the lady l horribly when she left in front of customers. Read moreIt’s been a few times I’ve come to this location some good encounters some bad, that’s typical for Ross. But today was by far the worst. I patiently waited in the line only to be called up next by Victoria and was treated in the worst way possible. I don’t know if it was because of my skin color or what. I had bought 4 pj sets but they didn’t fit right. I let her know as soon as I walked up I don’t have the receipts but I do have my card. She instantly gets annoyed and starts being rude “so you don’t have any receipts” no i just stated that before you started with the transaction. She then huffs and puffs she’s steadily hollering out it’s not on the card it’s not coming up instead of being patient because it was on the wallet not the physical card. Then one set was rung twice at another location because it didn’t have a tag she’s acting like I stole it by hollering down to another cashier that it didn’t have a tag. Thank god for Ryan he ended up making it easier. We found 2 transactions on my card one on my Apple Card and 1 I got store credit for so we didn’t have to keep trying the rest of my cards. For Victoria to be so old I would think she would know and should know how to treat and talk to customers. She needs to be reprimanded.
