7 Brew Coffee — Restaurant in Jersey Village

I absolutely love their coffee… I also love the employees! They are all so sweet and are truly amazing young kids! It’s honestly a breath of fresh air to see these young kids happy to be working and (from what I can tell) love their job! I gave it 4 stars, because they really need to have more employees running the morning crew. There’s days when it’s backed up and I mean really backed up. The morning is when most people want their coffee so if they had a couple extra employees in the morning, I think things will run faster. Also, I hate to say it, but I dislike that they ask for a tip when paying for your coffee. As a consumer, I feel pressured to put a tip when businesses do this! I’m already paying $8 to $10 for a coffee, and to tip on top of that seems odd! I actually stopped going to Starbucks for this reason. The only difference is, I cannot see myself leaving Brew 7 Coffee lol… Honestly, because the coffee is just that good and also because I truly love the employees!! Starbucks has nothing on their coffee or employees!!! I just don’t understand why businesses have decided to add this tip to their checkout screen. I definitely tip 20% to waiters and waitresses as they receive around $2 an hour, and of course I’m happy to do it, but for businesses to ask for tip when employees are making (at least if not more) than minimum wage… is a no go for me personally. I just feel that at the end of the day employees are being paid to make and serve coffee (a high priced coffee at that lol). So what is the tip for? Again, I understand waiters and waitresses, but this is a different scenario. I’ve been going almost every single day for the past two weeks. Every single time the employees have a great attitude and are just amazing. The drinks are delicious and they are fast. There was one time when it took a while to get our drinks ( not like I cared that it was taking a while, since it gave us time to talk to the brewista) but they gave us two free drink coupons for next time. Their reward program is nice, and it’s fast and easy to get free drinks and all you need is your phone number. definitely try the blue raspberry lemonade Georgia peach lemonade , the hot German chocolate latte is delicious , the banana bread blondie is also delicious. I'm a regular customer and I'm consistently impressed by the young adults working at the stand. They're always polite and engage in genuine conversation, especially one young woman with light eyes (may I suggest name tags) who knows her drinks well and offers great suggestions. However, the music can be loud and obnoxious, which I attribute to the manager's poor judgment. On one occasion, I witnessed the manager speaking loudly and unprofessionally to an employee. Her attire was also questionable; it appeared as though she wasn't wearing anything under her oversized shirt. I learned from an employee that she was the manager.
