On Wednesday 7/9/2025 I ran into some of the most rude people Iâve met just in general but especially for staff at a local card shop. I had gone there Sunday and purchased some FF MTG boosters, got lucky on some hits and decided to buy a whole booster box for close to $300 on Monday, I ripped open the whole box got some nice cards, talked to a few patrons about playing Commander on Wednesday and then left. I went again on Tuesday and looked through a few boxes of MTG cards, purchased another booster and a handful of .10 cards. Afterwards I was talking with someone behind the counter about purchasing some of their singles, maybe selling or trading some of the cards I had pulled the previous day but left without purchasing the buster sword card I wanted because it would have been about $85 and I wasnât sure if I should wait a little while before making another purchase on cards. Then on Wednesday I went back to pull the trigger on purchasing the buster sword. But the girl behind the counter was now telling me the cost for the card is $100. After some confusion on who I spoke to at the shop that told me the buster sword was going for $85, some midget boy with long curly hair who had a chip on his shoulder started arguing with me that I was lying about the price and that no one I was describing even worked at that shop. To the point that I felt like they were gas lighting me about not just the price of the card but also about them having an employee that spoke to me about the card at all. After a while of the back and forth I decided that if they were willing to be this rude to a new patron, it wasnât the kind of shop I wanted to support. I wasnât trying to swindle you out of the $15 price difference of the card, itâs the price I was told based off the market price on TCGPlayer. Be better. The patrons that support your shop deserve to be treated...
