I've been to the Grazing Table twice. The location, right in the heart of Kalamazoo, is great, but both my visits were pretty mediocre experiences. The sandwich I ordered the first time was not well put together (it kept falling apart in my hands and was very messy) without being all that tasty. The latte I ordered was not hot and was very weak. The second time I went, I ordered a salad. It was a very large portion with sweet potatoes, apples, candied pecans, and arugula—it should've been fabulous, given my personal tastes for these things. It also claimed to have Brie in it, but I found none there. I neglected to ask for dressing on the side and everything was drenched and sitting in a deep pool of super-sweet dressing. It was also overpriced for what ended up being mostly arugula and sweet potatoes. The wine was nice and low-priced at $7, though, so high points for that. The service was OK, the atmosphere was comfortable—no frills...
Read moreCute breakfast/lunch spot! Small and simple but elegant also. Casual where you seat yourself, grab a menu and go up to order/pay when you're ready. We were greeted with smiles and welcomes. They have cups and water at each table already.
A lady provides the desserts that were featured, we tried the lemon/lavender cookie (so soft and delicious). I got the coconut latte (a little too sweet but still good).
Food: we ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles. I asked for them to separate everything and have the dressings on the side, which they did. Was tasty and I'd definitely recommend it if you like chicken and waffles. Hubby got the Three Cheese Mac (added sausage) and OMG, absolutely delicious and I'm planning on ordering this next time! Presentation for everything is pretty much immaculate.
Service was wonderful. Restaurant was clean. Bathrooms available in the basement. Free street...
Read moreThe Grazing Table provided a beautiful table spread for cocktail hour at our wedding this November 2023. We got so many compliments on how beautiful and delicious all of the food was. Joey also saved the day for us. We planned on having lunch brought in, but in the chaos of planning, that slipped through the cracks. My maid of honor called Joey and asked if he could bring the separate charcuterie board we had planned on having for the bridal party during photos since we would miss cocktail hour early. He came early and brought the food so we were able to eat before the ceremony and avoid a hangry bridal party. We are so grateful for how responsive and helpful he was. Everybody loved the grazing table that we had for appetizers. I would absolutely recommend The Grazing Table to anybody especially for cocktail hour...
