Staff is nice, however, we purchased 2 rugs along with the warranty. We were told the warranty would clean our rugs or replace them if they couldn't be cleaned. These were area rugs for our kitchen and living room. Since we have a senior dog and 2 small children we knew they would need to be cleaned. The staff knew where the rugs were going and said nothing about the fact that the rugs were were buying could NOT in fact be cleaned. It was no big deal when they told us they couldn't clean them because the warranty covers replacement. Well it's been MONTHS of trying to get our rugs replaced. Both the warranty company and the store are telling us they will replace the rugs but yet we have not yet gotten new rugs, or a store credit, or a refund of our warranty. The store blames the warranty company the warranty company blames the store and round and round we go. It's absolutely ridiculous that this is still unresolved. I won't shop here again specifically because I feel scammed out of my money and I won't recommended anyone else shop here. Surely a regional supervisor can resolve this issue but instead we just get told we need to call the warranty company for the 100th time or we need to call the store for the 100th time.
Just wanted to update. It's now so more than 2 years later, April 2021, and we never did get a call back nor were our rugs replaced. Essentially we paid for a warranty and didn't get what we paid for. I will continue to tell my renters looking for new furniture and rugs to go elsewhere so they don't get scammed like we did. Very disappointed.
Final update. It's now March 2023. We have never heard from anyone about our warranty. Obviously, we've given up. But we will continue to tell others...
Read moreI've purchased 4 rugs from Rug & Home over the past 4 years and have enjoyed all 4 rugs. This last purchase was exceptional and I definitely wanted to share my experience. Everything started normally with a salesperson helping us to find a rug we liked. After you tag some rugs you like, they pull them down onto a hardwood floor so you can get a better idea of what they look like in a room. An employee who wasn't helping a customer came over to our salesperson and was instructing her on hours to make sure the pile was I the same direction on all the rugs we were viewing. He was explaining about how the cut affected the darkness off the rug. He proceeded to explain this to some other salespeople. He was helping us to see the differences in the rugs we were looking at. Hge then looked at some pictures of our room that we'd brought with us and asked if he could suggest some other rugs. We pulled his suggestions and they were absolutely stunning. We'd passed by them with the salesperson, but I the floor they were amazing. We ended up buying his suggested rug. Turns out this person was the owner of Rug and Home. Talk about exceptional service! I had ordered a set of stools through the rug and home website, and I received an email today that the stools I was looking for were discontinued by the manufacturer. I HAD to find these stools because I had already purchased most of the other furniture in the collection, and finding something that was similar would have been impossible (believe me, I tried!). I called Rug and Home via their online customer service number, and they confirmed that the stools were out of stock, and they could not find any in their stores. About 10 minutes later, I got a surprise text from a man named Matthew in the Kannapolis store stating that they did have the stools in stock in their store! I called, spoke with Eden, who had helped find the stools, and we were able to get it all squared away and I was able to purchase the stools over the phone. Matthew was able to set up a transfer from their store in Kannapolis down to the Gaffney store since it is much closer to my house. I am SOOOOOO grateful that they were able to find these stools. My heart sank into my stomach when I saw that original email, and I was really worried I my furniture wouldn't match.
