If I could give zero stars, I would. This was the worst salon experience I've ever had.
The salon has been running new client promotional offers for monthsâclearly a tactic to bring in fresh business. Hoping to find a salon closer to home, I gave it a shot.
I was booked with a stylist without being told anything about her background or specialties. Typically, salons try to match clients with stylists based on their needs. That didnât happen here.
While the stylist was kind and personable, it quickly became clear she was inexperienced. My hair lifted well during the lightening process, but the toner turned it orange and purple. I spent over five hours in the salon, and by the end, I just wanted to leave. The stylist did offer to fix it for free, so I agreed and scheduled a follow-up appointment.
At the redo appointment, things only got worse. While wrapping up, the owner (Kayla) suddenly instructed the stylist to charge me $157âeven though I was told the correction would be free. The stylist tried to explain the situation, but the owner insisted I pay.
Not only did I get charged, but the correction left my hair even more damaged. She brushed through my hair while bleach was in it, causing large clumps to fall out. My scalp was burned and irritated, and the end result looked and felt awful. When I showed the outcome to stylists at other salons, they were shocked. One even said the damage was so bad it required professional color correctionâsomething usually only needed after a botched at-home dye job.
I reached out to Kayla, explaining how unfair it was to be charged for a redo, especially when the first appointment was a clear mistake. She refused to offer a refund. I disputed the charge, which she also declined. Eventually, she refunded me only $13 out of the $286 I spent in totalâalmost as a joke.
Avoid this salon at all costs. The stylists lack the necessary experience, and the owner is unprofessional, unsupportive, and unwilling to take accountability. Iâm now back with my former stylist to repair the damage. The fact that I need extensive color correction from a professional salon mistake speaks volumes. Donât risk your hairâor your moneyâhere.

Read moreI hate to write these kind of reviews but I wanted to take a moment to share my concerns regarding my recent visit to this salon. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the outcome of my hair and, even more so, with how the situation was handled afterward.
Iâve visited this salon several times in the past and had amazing experiences, particularly with Blane. She is incredibly talented and has such a warm and kind presence. This time, due to budget constraints, I decided to try another stylist and take advantage of a discount they offered. I wish I didnât because I ended up spending more to fix my hair and keep it healthy at the same time⊠I showed Ashley a picture of the result I wanted, and she seemed confident, reassuring me throughout the process that my results would be excellent. She even mentioned that she could âfix itâ if the results werenât as expected in few days? Unfortunately, that confidence did not match the final outcome.
When I raised my concerns about the results, because I ended having three different colors in my hair, instead of taking responsibility or offering a solution, Ashley blamed me for not disclosing that I had previously used boxed dye. This was surprising since I had clearly mentioned it beforehand, and she assured me at the time that it wouldnât be an issue. What frustrated me most was that when I followed up with additional questions to better understand what went wrong, my messages were ignored entirely. I found this approach unprofessional and dismissive, which damaged the trust I previously had in your salon.
As a business owner, professionalism and open communication are essential to addressing client concerns. Ignoring questions and deflecting responsibility only leads to frustration and erodes client relationships.
I hope you take this feedback constructively and use it as an opportunity to grow, both personally and professionally. Please donât offer me free services or advice to find another hair stylist. Am only asking to do better and be nice to people because you never know what people are...
Read moreSYDNEY is the reason I come to this salon! I drive 30 minutes from OP to see her. The first time I saw her years ago she was the ânew girlâ in my usual OP salon. My regular stylist of over a decade had partially retired and couldnât work me in to fix a color issue during the hours I could come in. Sydney did a great job, dare I say ABOVE AND BEYOND what all the regular stylists were doing for their long time clients. She steamed my face with hot towels and gave me a great hand massage while waiting for my color to process. I felt a little guilty not seeing my usual stylist but when her schedule was more in line with mine I made my appointment with her. I wear my hair short, so every 4 week appointments are necessary. Fortunately she moved to another salon. Even though she move to Brookside which is 30 minutes away I never considered not following her. That salon wasnât the greatest place for her, so I was happy for her when she made the move to Aorist. Sheâs the best and keeps up on the latest trends. I could be her mother lol but I look forward to our monthly visit! She just keeps getting better at her craft because itâs truly her passion! Iâve never been disappointed and I am very particular...
