1 star, but I wish I could give zero. I had called the store asking if they accepted exemptions from wearing a mask, and the lady I talked to said YES. I always call stores ahead of time to ask their exemption policy, and to give them a heads up so as to be respectful. However, whenever I arrived to the store I was very rudely greeted by one of the employees. I was told that I had to wear a mask in the store otherwise I had to leave, and after I said that I was told I could be in the store due to my exemption, the employee literally called me a liar and said I would need to leave. I proceeded to say that I would NOT lie about something like that, and that the team needed to get on the same page because I was told something different. Another employee then approached me and was also very rude and condescending, and said that none of the employees would have told me such a thing and blah blah blah. I am just so appalled and shocked at the level of disrespect that businesses and employees have taken on during this pandemic. These are pure power trips, and it has allowed for blatant, ILLEGAL discrimination. I can no longer ever support this business, mask mandates or not, because I do not tolerate or support that sort of behavior and disrespect. Again, I'm just in shock that I was treated that way after one of the employees themselves told me I could be in the store. No matter the state of the world, and no matter your opinions or beliefs about masks or literally ANYTHING ELSE, no one should ever get a free pass to...
Read moreThis store is decent. It’s small but had a lot of the packaged items one would need. The produce, however, always seems to be old, wrinkled and sometimes even actively rotting. It is close to my home but I tend to just drive all the way to Whole Foods if I forget a produce item, since their items are often not fresh. The water, however, is very good. We refill our water here because it tastes much better than Whole Foods. Last week I forgot Thai Basil for a dish I was cooking and called the store to ask if they had it. They said they did so I drove in. No one appeared to be working but I looked for the herb and didn’t see it. After wandering around the store for several minutes and yelling “hello”, the girl working came out from the back. I told her I was the one who just called about the Thai basil and that I didn’t see it. She picked up a container of regular basil and asked if that was it. I said no. She then asked if I had called a different store. I told her no (and recognized her voice as the person I spoke to) and then she said someone had bought all of it since I called. Hmm. It was only 5 minutes ago and from what I could tell, she was in the back doing something extracurricular. She was very scattered and unhelpful, knocking stuff over and having trouble focusing. I was a bit annoyed she had wasted my time. Some of the employees there are really lovely tho. This place is just kinda hit and miss. Yes for gluten-free, dairy-free and organic packaged options. Yes for water. No for produce or...
Read moreEdit: a month later we haven't had that issue again, switched to 5 star review that they deserve.
We come here often and spend our hard earned money. They are usually very nice. My fiance and I work late so we had to show up 5 minutes til close just to grab broccoli and a cucumber really quick. It took 2 minutes maximum. The man who closed Saturday, April 25 had locked the doors 5 minutes prior to close, which I understand; he wanted to go home. But he was extremely rude to my fiance. They do not close until 9 and yes we showed up 5 til close, but it was for a very quick grab of veggies for dinner since everywhere else is already closed. That man was very rude and did not make her want to return there, when usually the employees are great. I'm sorry if he had a bad day, but we work in the customer service industry as well. Other than that experience, they would get a 5...
