Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fountain — Attraction in Kansas City

It is small and very understated - as many things here in the midwest are - as well serene and very poignant. Moving. As it should be.

This is not meant to be grand, but more, a reminder to honor those who have not only fought bravely, but given the ultimate sacrifice.

It is elegantly simple, and stacked on levels as if into a hillside, keeping nice site lines with the surrounding area. In a "City of Fountains" those here are quite modern, and listening to them is very relaxing. Low maintenance landscaping helps add an again, simple beauty. Parks and rec, or perhaps volunteers keep it well maintained. It should never go in disrepair.
