My daughter wanted to visit Ellicor to get Sonny Angels, so we arrived about 20 minutes before opening and waited with a couple of other patrons. When the store was supposed to open, we were still waiting, and it turned out that one of the people standing with us was actually an employee—though we didn’t know it at the time.
We ended up waiting about 20 minutes AFTER opening, and the second employee finally showed up to unlock the store. The employee who had been there was clearly more seasoned, as she was training the late-arriving staff member. Neither employee acknowledged us or apologized for the wait. The employee who unlocked the door just seemed to go through the motions of her opening procedures, without any communication or acknowledgment of the customers waiting.
Once inside, the door remained locked, and I had to actually let another customer in because they couldn’t get in with the door still locked. Not a great first impression.
The customer service was disappointing, especially for a store that relies on providing an experience. The staff was young—maybe late teens or early 20s—but that doesn’t excuse the lack of basic customer service and communication. On top of that, the store smelled unpleasant—like something fishy—and it wasn’t very inviting.
I really wanted to enjoy this visit, but the poor service and bad atmosphere made it a pretty negative experience overall. I hope they improve on both the customer service and cleanliness, because the concept is great, but the execution...
Read moreFAKE ITEMS?!? Employees are really sweet however management doesn’t respond for refunds, even for issues on their end. I went in for Hirono figurines one was missing things which either implied selling fake items, or reopening before hitting the shelves. I kept getting passed around different employees to help me to which they all responded the same way “our manager hasn’t said anything” a week of missing both figurine and money. All while saying I’d be getting updates if I left my info, I had to return to the store myself every single time for an update. Originally I was told I was able to get a refund if they had the code, as soon as I get called back the employees told me they changed the code. Fast forward to today, I go in for my refund just to tell me they can’t. We resolved it with a 5 dollars off the next purchase and they returned my figurine with the things missing. Only leaving this because the store is pricey so think before you buy. To reiterate employees were kind and as cooperative...
Read moreI had went to this store a couple of months ago. I am usually a frequent customer. Last time I went inside there was this older asian women who totally ignored me sitting down with her laptop in front of the store. The store had a weird smell, probably came from the cup of noodles she was sipping on. This is a gift store... she was the only one in the store and sipping on the noodles aggressively made me feel uncomfortable in a way, especially when I was trying to order a drink in the tea bar, she didn't know how to make strawberry lemonade. When she was cutting my strawberries, she didn't even wash her hands from digging in her nose earlier, I immediately just left. I liked the other employees better especially the one who was there before with the blonde hair with amazing service. I went back a few time more after, I never seen the same...
