I originally gave this property a great review. After living here, I wouldnât recommend, especially for the price and all the extra fees. I have been a resident at Greenhouse since February 2023.
When I first came to view the property, they showed me units in the main building. It was clean and well-maintained. I fell in love!
But, I should have checked out the rest of the property. The other buildings are not as well-maintained. In the 14 months Iâve been here, it has gone down dramatically! The exterior looks shabby and unclean. The buildings need to be pressure-washed and painted.
The breezeways are ALWAYS dirty and nasty. I have complained twice, but only twice because I feel uncomfortable putting in complaints. There are always spilled drinks and food in breezeways, and it never gets cleaned up. Four times, there has been animal feces in breezeways and on the stairs. Each time, itâs remained for WEEKS!
The valet trash service is inconsistent. They sometimes donât pick up at all. They drop trash and just leave it wherever it falls. A day after we received new trash cans, the people cleaning the breezeways picked up trash and dropped it in my can - no bag or anything. I figured theyâd get it when they picked up the trash. They never did.
My garage door wasnât working and it took 6 weeks, 3 maintenance requests, 2 calls to the office, and emails before it was repaired. They said they didnât know which unit was mine, despite the fact I left my apartment number, name, phone number, and garage unit on the messages. She said my unit starts with a âT,â but there is no âTâ anywhere near the number above the garage. Even so, they could have looked it up under my account, or reached out to me.
The hot water is warm, at best, for about 5-7 minutes. Unless you like lukewarm water, baths are out. If you like to hand wash your dishes, expect to wash in cold water. The toilet backs up almost daily. I have no kids living here, and I do not flush anything. Itâs either the neighbors flushing stuff down connected pipes, or the plumbing is just old and bad. Iâve had to buy two plungers, and getting ready to buy a third, because I use it so much.
The fire alarm system is constantly going off, for no reason, sometimes for days at a time. Theyâve supposedly fixed it, but itâs continued to go off. At this point, it goes off so much, residents just ignore it. If there is an actual fire, chances are no one will exit their apartments because itâs become routine to hear it.
The north gate is always open. Every now and then, theyâll fix it. The same day or next day, itâll be open again for months. In fact, it hasnât been closed since probably October of 2023, or even further back.
The parcel lockers are constantly on the blink. I currently have a package I canât get because itâs not working. I went into the office yesterday to ask for help retrieving my locker. She took my info and said when the manager returns from lunch, she can open the lockers and get the package to me. I never heard back from anyone.
I called today, and no one was available. I left a detailed voice message, with my name, apartment number, and phone number. As usual, no response.
Months ago, they said they would be reducing the fees for paying rent online. It never happened, and no one responded to my inquiry about that.
I regret that I renewed for another year, but I will not renew again. There are waaaaay nicer apartments on the same street. Hopefully, they also care enough to maintain the property and respond to their residents.
Most residents do NOT clean up after their pets, and they take them to the few grassy areas around the parking lot, instead of the pet park. So, there is often feces in the parking lot.
Positive: The apartment interiors have very nice touches, beautiful cabinets, deep, farmhouse sinks, and a clean, modern look. The pools are clean and nice, but seating and furniture is often dirty and some of it needs to be replaced. There are no issues with pests. Fitness center is nice. Itâs...
Read more2nd UPDATE: I called the office today for a resolution per the response I received on my Google review. Della stated that they can NOT refund me my application fee because they offered me a 2 bedroom and I declined. She claims itâs in the contract but it does not state that if the unit is unavailable if we offer you an 2 bedroom and you decline you donât get your money back! Excuse ME???? I applied for a 3 bedroom that they gave away to someone else how is this my fault?? I have an email from her asking me to please send over my bank statements so that she could lock the 3-bedroom unit down for me! This was literally 5 min before she called me and told me I was approved and would be in building 10. Please DO NOT rent here!! Also, Della in the front office is VERY RUDE and walks around in house shoes instead of professional attire!! For her to get upset with me for a mistake SHE made is insane. She rushed me off the phone with a huge attitude. I have never been treated this poorly in my entire life! Take accountability for your mistake instead of getting upset at the people who simply applied for somewhere to live. Ruby is really sweet though; she might be the only leasing agent with customer service skills. This company will be hearing from my lawyer because taking a person's hard-earned money after they screwed up is completely unacceptable! Legal fees may cost more that what I paid for the application fee, but itâs the principle behind this whole situation. Furthermore, before you even think of applying to this place PLEASE check the reviews on yelp, they are even worse on yelp than they are on here.
The approval process is a joke! I had to provide so many documents that took time to get from my employer and ended up being for no reason at all. Paid the application fee and was approved for a three bedroom townhome that I never got to see in person. I was shown a two bedroom that looked nothing like the townhome interior but found a YouTube video of the actual townhome so I applied. Right after the leasing agent Dela told me that I was approved she called me back and said someone else had been approved for the same townhome. How??? Why was I even allowed to apply in the first place? She then asked me if i wanted a two bedroom? No!! I applied for a 3 bedroom for a reason. So now I am back to the drawing board of finding somewhere to live before my current lease ends in November. I have contacted the property for my application fee back because if the apartment wasnât available to begin with I should not have been able to apply for it. Someone needs to contact me immediately or I will be going further with this issue. This whole process was completely disappointing, disorganized, and completely unacceptable!!!! This company needs to really get...

We pay a premium to live here, largely for amenities like the pool and elevator â yet neither has been consistently available. The building 1 pool has been closed all year, and the elevator has maybe worked for a total of 3 months in 2025, if that. Despite this, weâre still being charged for âluxuryâ amenities that simply donât exist in practice.
Dog droppings are everywhere on the property. Itâs not just unpleasant, itâs unsanitary â and nothing is done to enforce cleanup. The grounds are poorly maintained, with hornetsâ nests left hanging around and overgrown, dirty walkways. Between that and the broken security gate, which rarely works for more than a few days at a time, this place feels less like a safe, livable community and more like a neglected afterthought.
Mail and packages are frequently stolen, and itâs become so normalized that itâs barely acknowledged by management. Poor security, no updates, no accountability.
Parking is a nightmare. People who donât live here constantly take up spaces. Visitors, on the other hand, get towed â even when they do register their vehicles. The towing system is disorganized and punitive, creating more stress for residents and their guests.
Management is often rude, dismissive, and uncooperative. Maintenance requests sometimes go unanswered for too long. To be clear, the maintenance workers themselves are great â they genuinely do their best with the limited resources and staffing theyâve been given. But theyâre working uphill against management decisions that clearly donât prioritize resident wellbeing.
Whatâs most frustrating is how misplaced the managementâs priorities are. As of late, all residents receive repeated, borderline harassing emails framed as reminders towards residents who are smoking. Meanwhile, community-wide issues go unchecked: theft, dog waste, broken gates, unkempt grounds, or the general disrepair of this property. Personally, Iâd rather live around smokers than thieves and irresponsible pet owners who treat the property like a public toilet.
This could be a great place to live if they truly invested in the community. But until they start prioritizing security, cleanliness, and basic maintenance, this will remain a deeply frustrating and disappointing...
