1000 Degrees Pizza - Houston, TX — Restaurant in Texas

Their pizza was so delicious! We went for our first time there a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday. I've passed by this place a few times so I managed to convince my Husband to check it out with me. My Husband is not the biggest pizza fan. He can live without it. We ordered a Lasagna pizza that day. It had halves of meatballs and some fresh cheese on it with sauce of course. I can't remember what else came on it, but ya'll it was so good. Their ingredients seemed to be fresh and their crust was not burnt or under cooked. My Husband enjoyed it so much that he talks about going there again with me. 😆 We also ordered some Buffalo and Crimson Heat wings. Again, it was so delicious. I really liked those Crimson Heat wings sweet & spicy 🌶 🔥! There is no dip to save you. 😆 The Buffalo was on point and there ranch was so good. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. It was very quiet and not over bearing like some pizza places I've been to similar to how they serve here. Also I probably should mention at this place you can order their specialties or watch them serve and top your choice of crust with your favorite cheeses and toppings behind a plexy "glass". Kind of like Mod pizza but yet a way different style. Definitely more our style here. Personally, in my opinion, they have better crust options and the prices are so good. You can get a Cauliflower (Caulipower) crust for one of the lowest prices I have seen compared to many pizzas nearby. Plus any and all the toppings you want without charging you extra?!!! 👍 Yes! So good. My Husband and I are excited to go back again and get to try another pizza here. And of course get some more of those Crimson Heat Wings. They are legit. Also, their staff was so kind and helpful. I saw a guy always making sure the dining room stayed clean after customers left. Plus he would clean off our table right away once he noticed we finished our pizza....

What we liked - The pizza was solid. My wife and kid both got their all meat pizza. My wife said it was kind of a sourdough crust, and she preferred it to Mod. I tried a bite, I prefer the crispier crust of Mod. The portions were generous. Overall pizza was very good. I didn’t feel like pizza and tried the Buffalo wings. They were pretty good, I was not disappointed. I liked that they offered them, a nice alternative when everyone else wants pizza but you. They’re not going to compete with the wing specialist places like BWW, but overall it was all pretty good. We will do it again.

Mgmt. - appreciate your response, and I appreciate that you believe in your product. But the customer is who is buying it. The customer’s palate is king.

It really doesn’t matter to me if the crust is frozen or not. What matters to me is I prefer the crispier crusts, like Papa John’s crispy, like Mod’s. It’s what I like. Freezing doesn’t hurt that kind of crust because the yeast doesn’t need to activate. My wife prefers your crust. So… yay!

As for the wings, fried is better. Wings are best when they have some crispy texture to them and you can’t get that crispy chicken skin by oven roasting them.

The lone exception to that rule is Papa’s BBQ dry rub wings. They’re off the HOOK. But those are slow smoked all night and the skin isn’t soft and gummy.

What can I say about this place? I found this place by accident, back in April of this year. I had few expectations for the pizza, but when I tasted my first piece, I knew that this is by far, the best pizza in Houston. I've tried many wood fired and craft pizza places, but I have made this place my regular twice a week pit stop. The pizza here is fresh, tasty, and cooked in a hot as hell oven that makes the most delectable crust known to man. The prices are good and the staff of kids that work here are aces. Good friendly service and a delicious meal at good prices. I've met the owner on several occasions and he's friendly. Another thing that I would recommend is the cheese bread. Omg!!! This bread is the best I've ever tasted. They're generous with the cheese and the crust is crispy in the outside, while it is chewy on the inside. The perfect delectable crust that can only be achieved in an extremely hot oven. I would like to please ask the owner to consider selling either wine bottles, or little single serving wine bottles, as these would pair perfectly with this wonderful pizza. I would love to come by here on a Friday night and order a cheese bread with my pizza and enjoy it with a nice Malbec or Pinot. Please consider this and this place would truly be a...
