This was my first time here, and the place is lovely. The murals and ambiance are on point. It is very clean and easily accessible. I rated the food 4 because the churrasco roll was not as good as I expected, mostly because the meat was a bit tough and seemed reheated (not too tasty either). However, the reason why I came was for the mofongo and the arroz chino, since those are very traditional Puerto Rican dishes. The mofongo was tasty but needed more chicharron. The fried rice was perfect. I also had the carne frita, and that was well seasoned. The mofongo traveled well, as I had the remainder the next day, and it was still edible. Everything was extremely salty the chicken, the fries, and the rice. The sauce on the rice had an overwhelmingly strong taste, I couldn’t get it down, it was unbearable. The fried plantains were soaked in oil. And finally, they don’t offer refills for drinks. I hope they improve, but without a doubt, it’s a place I do...
Read moreLa Perlita is a family-owned business that has roots in Puerto Rico since the early 2000s. You know they serve authentic Chino-Boricua food that is not only tasty, but generous in portion size, and made fresh. The owners are very sweet and friendly and the restaurant is clean and very modern. Their murals are gorgeous too!
I have yet to try all their menu items, but I have enjoyed everything I've ordered from La Perlita. If you don't know where to start, I highly recommend their bbq pork, fried rice, and tostones al ajillo, which are classics that you will surely enjoy! This restaurant is such a wonderful addition to the already diverse...
