Read moreThe manager at the fry rd location in Katy tx needs to be put back thru customer service training. On august 22 2012 I went to this location and Baught a microscope for my nefews birthday. After selecting the one I wanted and getting a gift bag the manager (a short white lady with a helmet style hair black and big) walked up and asked if we needed help. (i had my 63 year-old mom and 6 month old daughter in a.stroller) I said nope proceeded to check out. After paying for EVERYTHING my mom left immediately and took our purchased items to the truck while I did a couple last minute things. As I left the store I paused in the door way to put on my sunglasses and this same manager came to me and asked where is the microscope I had. I said my mom took it to the truck. The manager asked to see it. I said well I have the receipt. I took it out of my wallet and showed her I PAID for it. I was surprised when she read it she squinted huffed with irritation and said thank you in a very rude snooty way. Now I get she was doing her job and protecting her store and I know I don't look like the normal Katy, tx mom with all my tattoos but it seemed as if she wanted to bust me. Rather than apologize and be glad I haven't stolen anything she continues to treat me like the harden x con she thinks I am ( for the record I'm not). I have been a manager in retail, I have had to do the same confronting customers. I know I fit the visual profile of hoodlums I am not bothered by that, but to keep being a nasty witch after I show u I haven't stolen , lost u a customer and I will share this with everyone I know ....
Read moreKind of a long story, but worth a look... I have been a minister for over 30 years and have done my share of weddings. I began a tradition of charging only $1 to officiate a wedding ceremony and then returning the dollar to the couple on their first anniversary. Last year, I performed my Aunt's wedding when she was in her 90's. As her anniversary was coming up, we were supposed to be in Dallas with her and her husband, and I thought it would be great to have the dollar framed to give to them. So, I went the framing shop at HL where I have had at least six pictures framed over the years, all with outstanding results. I was helped by Shelly M. I explained what I was looking for and the unfortunately short timeframe to deliver (we would be leaving the next day). We picked out all the components, looked at the digital mock-up and l left with a guarantee of results. The framed dollar was ready the next day, ahead of schedule and perfectly executed. I was obvious to me that Shelley and all the employees in the frame shop are both artists and professionals; clearly devoted to their customers. They spent quality time with me, as though this was a $1000 frame job....
