All I can say is WOW! I was in the store this evening and watched a poor sales associate get fired!! In front of me, we were having a conversation, he had a headpiece on and management was telling him NOT to be so chatty, he had enough and turned around and told the girl to leave him alone to quit telling him to quit being chatty, she proceeded to say, she was instructed to tell him! I was so embarrassed for him, I honestly thought customer service was all about being chatty! Of course it is 10:30pm I am the only one inline so it was not like we were holding the line up! Anyway, as I finished my purchased the manager said Jared punch out and never come back! Now I would say she was having extra bad customer service doing this in front of a customer, she should not have done that in front of me! I asked myself maybe I should have not gone there tonight he probably would still have a job. I told the manager I was very chatty and I apologized... So sad, wishing him the best. I think there needs to be some manager training, Crazy I called my daughter and told her what happen -she knew exactly who he was, he checked her out last week and said he was the kindest clerk cheery and pleasant! Read moreMy husband and I were in Home Sense on numerous occasions during the holidays shopping for gifts. We spent a considerable amount of money and conversed with the manager and associates. Right after Christmas we needed to return a fan b/c it didn’t work but couldn’t find the receipt. However using my husband’s drivers license the associate was able to pull him up in the system but they still would not return it or give us a store credit. They said that they needed a receipt or tag for the price and barcode. I asked if I could get a fan within the store . The lady said yes. There wasn’t a tag on that one either. I gave up. I wasn’t going to run back and forth trying to find a fan with a tag . That was their job. . The manager was there but offered no help. My husband and I left and told them to keep the fan. What were we going to do with it? So if you receive a gift from Home Sense that does not have a receipt or tag, don’t try to return it, exchange it, or receive a store credit b/c they would rather lose a good customer to save $50.00 than try to remedy the situation. She also keep getting on the intercom starting at 8:30 announcing the store closing every 5 Minutes could even shop in peace because she kept constantly giving out REMINDERS!!! The store was closing I was in line I needed to switch money at but they have no WiFi. I asked can I grasp my other cell to switch the money and she said NO then I just stood there looking at me with this horrible attitude I was very surprised as I was about to ask for a manager she seen I was upset then she said ok you can I will tell my manager this your stuff. When I came back in I paid for my stuff I forget a bag instead of her handing me my bag she threw it in a baskets and rolled her eyes !!!! I know plenty people who are out work and would love here job!!! The owners need to fire or write her bad behavior UP this young lady for HORRIBLE...
