I went over to the store to purchase some dermalogica facial products to stock up at my spa, waited about 15 minutes to get assistance, when finally I walked over to find an employee, I asked her if there were any sort of recommendations on the Dermalogica products due to being new to the esthetics industry I wanted some recommendations, then she stated rudely YOU CAN NOT USE YOUR LICENSE FOR DISCOUNTS & even my sister from 2 aisles away heard her, so I said umm that's not what I asked, then she stated to go to Cosmo prof or salon centric, she said that she knew because she was licensed, I repeatedly told her that they don't carry those products there, I've worked there. The story goes on with this rudely employee that made me feel unwanted & was trying to get rid of me, I was about to drop about $500 to purchase product for my spa, but she basically kicked me out of the store, I asked for her name and her mangers name, she stated she was the manger, & that her supervisor was on vacation. so I asked for her last name but she declined to. I went over to the front counter to gather more information due to this extremely unprofessional behavior, & to say disrespectful to the client, funny that the lady that I spoke to at the front counter stated that she was the manger, after I told her the experience I went thru she did not seem interested in rectifying the problem. Witch left me astonished how people in that store don't care on how to service the client. I would never recommend anyone to go to this store, specially to all licensed professionals. Read moreI am so angry. An "elite stylist" gave me the worst hair cut I have ever had. It feels very violating to trust someone with a part of your body and they cut if off, charge you, and let you leave, knowing they did a crap job and your hair looks terrible. I would gladly pay money to have my hair back, but sadly that's not gonna happen. Never again, Ulta. Never again.
My reply to owner: After having time to process my horrible experience, I have decided that I did have some responsibility in what occurred. First of all, I showed many photos of the hair cut that I wanted, however the stylist talked me out of all of them, stating that they required lots of styling to achieve the looks. I now think that the stylist lacked the skills necessary to accomplish the haircut that I wanted. I should have left promptly when she talked me out of what I wanted. So that's partially on me. Secondly, we decided on a simple bob style. When I got home, I could see that one side was visibly longer. I trusted her again to fix her mistake, which is on me. I should never have gone back. I did call after the second visit and spoke to the "floor manager" who had an attitude. She said she would have the store manager call me. At that point, I was done. My hair will eventually grow back. I was down about $120, but I learned a hard lesson. Also, not every client wants to talk the entire time they are sitting in the stylists chair. Read moreI have nothing against Ulta but the last few times I have gone, alone and with friends there is one employee who is just awful. She's just so incredibly rude. Shes abrasive, told my girlfriends niece to "Stop touching the product" but I'm not sure how else she was supposed to decide if she wanted it, asked me for a receipt and told me to stop opening live product when I had just bought it in front of her and had the items in an ulta bag, as i had just purchased it. Then when she asked the lady who checked me out if I had bought the items she obviously said yes yet this lady continued to stare at us and told the other girl that she was surprised and you can never be too careful and that she was going to keep an eye on us. She is always working and frankly when I see her I leave the store and make the drive to the Salem Ulta. I no longer shop here as I am afraid she is going to be working. She makes the entire shopping trip an unpleasant experience and I have never seen worse customer service. Her entire demeanor is stand offish and rude. I wish I knew her name but she is the only redhead in the store that I have seen, she's very tall and looks to be about 40. So fair warning if you see her, the trip to the Salem Ulta is worth it...
