Hops n Drops — Restaurant in Keizer

Went for the food, caught a show instead. My family and I went in on Tuesday evening. It was quite busy, which meant that we had to wait to be seated. No problem. The hostess was very cheerful and pleasant when she assured us that our wait would be minimal, and the food smelled worth the wait, so we didn't mind standing on the crowded entryway to wait our turn. However, a few moments later, the charming atmosphere was transformed into that of a mall food court, as another hostess stomped up to the smiling girl who greeted us, and began having what can only be described as a tantrum. Right next to my children, she began slamming things around and berating the other hostess. She raised her voice, and, at one point, even clenched her fists and got within inches of her face yelling about organization. In front of several customers. Her behavior was shocking. My children were startled, and asked to eat somewhere else, so we left, along with another large group that had been waiting to be seated. We did attempt to give it another try on Wednesday evening, but, upon entry, we saw that the erratic hostess was at the stand again, with a bored, irritated look on her face, and we chose to make it a pizza night instead. A little tip: having a snarky teenager front and center as the welcome to your "family restaurant" isn't very...

I have been meaning to right this review since the first time we went. The food is fantastic and not to expensive. The first time we went I ordered one of their quesadillas and started eating it half way through I realized it was the wrong one. It was still very good but I was just curious if it was the one I had ordered so I asked the waitress she wasn't sure so the manager came over and looked at it. He said it was the wrong meat and asked if I had an allergy. I told him no and that it was fine. He offered for them to make the right one and I could take it home I told him that it was ok we had lots of leftovers at home so that wasn't needed. He told me he would take the quesadilla off the bill and talk to his cooks so that didn't happen again. We then payed our bill and where about to leave when he came over and asked us to wait and a minute later he came over and gave us a gift card and told us next time was on them. He went above and beyond to make up for the mistake that was made he didn't even have to take the quesadilla off the bill let alone give us a gift card. We went back a few weeks later and enjoyed another great meal. This is definitely one of our go to places for dinner from now on. They definitely know how to treat their customers!! My sister wanted to have her bday drink and dinner here, 1st time for me. Unique place, nice decor, friendly staff. Our server was pleasant, but was hyper-focused on another table and left us waiting for a long time. I was trying to get my sister her favorite drink for her bday so we could make a toast in her honor...our server was leaning on this other table that had her interest, and didn't even take our drink order until I got up and went to the bar to see if we had to order there. She came over and apologized for the wait...said she was super busy, but only had 3 tables including ours. She took our drink and appetizer order and left us waiting again. She was laughing and visiting with this other table and I literally had to go to the bar to ORDER our drinks, as she had not put them in yet. She didn't put our appetizer in as an app, so all of our food came out at the same time. She didn't ask us if we wanted a refill when our drinks were empty, and I had to go to the bar to ask for boxes. Pretty bummed that she didn't even attempt to make my sister's bday special for her. Definitely not in a hurry to go back...Food was decent, but nothing special, and the service left A LOT to be desired. Sorry...
