We were so impressed and happy from the minute we checked in. We were traveling with our service animal, and it's always important the hotel is as nice for her as it is for us. The location is exceptional being the hotel shares parking lots with other businesses. Every fast food and dining restaurant imagined is within minutes or walking distance. Literally, we could walk out of the hotel and across to Panera and In and Out Burger. This hotel and staff exceeded our expectations, and we were intensely satisfied. Abi at the front desk was wonderful and made check in easy and efficient. The hotel is exceptionally clean and well designed and organized. The whole staff from the front desk to the breakfast staff and the hospitality room service were extremely pleasant and friendly. The rooms are like studios, with an actual entry. The bathrooms are large, well lit and the walk in shower is easy to step into with a shower mat and plenty of room. The shower heads were placed very high for 5'10 people like myself and the toilets are perfect height. There is a designated coffee bar area with refrigerator, microwave and single serve Kerruig maker with a nice selection of regular and decaf k cups. The room is large, the lighting is exceptional and the counter, closet and accessory chair are more than acceptable. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were very supportive. The a/c was perfect and I did use the iron and it worked great. The breakfast offered a nice selection and was well worth visiting in the morning. The area designated for our service animal was phenomenal. We would highly recommend this property and when we visit again we will plan to book here again. Thank you Holiday...

I awoke one night, unable to breath very well, my room permeated with cigarette smoke. I am allergic.
I called the desk and spoke with Michael, he said they will check it out, so I went back to bed.
When I got up for the day my room was still very smoky. I checked the hallway and it was worse, even the 2 ladies cleaning rooms were aware of how bad it was.
I went down to the front desk and spoke with Michael again - he said there was nothing they could do. I even pointed out the large sign behind him that says 100% smoke free hotel.
I asked to be moved to another room on another floor and explained that I am allergic to the smoke, he checked the computer and said he had nothing,
Since this was in the morning I expected him to say we will have people checking out this morning and will have one of those rooms cleaned right away. But instead he brushed it off and said "I have done all I can". I said you could go up there and try to determine which room it is coming from and stop it (he NEVER did) - I told him I would knock on every door if I had to. "Oh no, we can't do that".
I told him I have to check out then - he said "are you sure that's what you want to do?"
I have stayed at this particular hotel for the past 2 years, for 1 week, every month. Grace has always treated me very well, but when I spoke with her she offered 2000 points for my inconvenience (2000 points is nothing considering it takes 15,000+ for one night stay). Eventually she comp'd one night stay.
I am very concerned about staying there again since they would rather loose a long time customer than try to find the one...
Read moreHotel itself is nice, clean and has plenty of amenities within walking distance and I appreciate that they lock the building down at night, I’ve stayed at a few properties that had every lowlife in town in the lobby after dark, Elizabeth City. However the staff is crass and dismissive and the water is way too soft, Again I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels and the water is always extremely soft but the water at this property was is soft that it cannot rinse the soap off your body and feels like you’re washing with conditioner. I told 3 front desk staffers about and they all not only told me “It was the first time hearing about it” but also laughed it off. I will not stay at properties that have low water pressure because of how long it takes to shower but I would rather deal with that than this. The $50 early checkout fee is unprecedented and incredulous especially when they don’t provide any room service over a 4 day stay and as a policy will not until day 6. No waste basket liners and every light in a king “suite” is independently controlled, there is no way of way of turning on more than one light at a time even lighting up the main room without walking through the dark room that your eyes haven’t had time to adjust for and I have great night vision. I do however think that this property would be amazing with a few minor tweaks and attitude adjustments and even though I do complain about the crassness of the staff they are pretty good people after you get over the shock of the PNW attitude serving as customer service in the...
