On 12/30/2016, my husband and I purchased the black Verona table and two benches during their 50% off furniture sale. At the time, they had the benches in stock but needed to order the table. We agreed that we would wait for the table to come in and buy/pick-up everything at once. I called in February (2 months later) to ask if the table had come yet and what the holdup was. They said it hadn't come yet but the benches were still in back with our name on them. A month later in March, I called back. This time, the benches had been sold out from under us and still no table. By now, the benches (in black) were no longer available so Euclide and Andy did their best to negotiate with other stores to trade for their stock - no such luck. Long story short, Euclide and Andy turned this bad experience into the best customer service experience I've ever had! TAKE NOTE OTHER BUSINESSES; THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT CUSTOMERS...
They offered for me to find another set I liked online and they would price match the deal. I opted to stick with the Verona style but switch colors from black to mahogany. When I called in February, they were having a 60% off furniture sale and said they would honor that for my inconvenience (an extra 10% off)! They honored a 15% off coupon we were planning to use but had expired by the time the dust settled. This was in addition to #2 above! They saw that I was eyeballing some tufted dining chairs to put at the ends of the table so they offered me 2 at practically cost!!!
Not only did they make it right, they went well above and beyond to make us happy! Throughout the predicament, I was treated with kindness and respect! I know right, who does that anymore?! I am also happy to report that we've had the set for 2 months now and we couldn't be happier with the quality. Very solid, sturdy, and was easy to put together.

Read moreShopping World Market online can be a pain, especially when trying to buy online & pick up in store. But the actual location itself seems to be left understated. The layout inside feels open and navigable. They've got a pretty good expanded selection of snacks and food, plus the home decor is pretty and utterly distracting in the best way possible. If you want to test your self discipline when you are in a time crunch, come on down! Bonus points to you if you make it out the store without blowing your last paycheck! :D
What makes it for me is the great customer service. I have to give a shoutout to Chris at checkout. I've seen him at this store during my visits this past year. Not only is he courteous, but he is prompt and keeps an even keel when a line builds up. He is equipped to ask for help and back up when you can visibly notice that the fast paced, high pressure environment of a store goes up a notch or two. And he is attentive with your purchase and will promptly wrap up any of your fragile ceramic/glass home good items. It goes to show that this is not his first rodeo of retail service. When I stopped in last week to pick up an online order, he quickly brought out my items, and was forthcoming about the condition of my large metal planter. I wouldn't have noticed the defect but he pointed out to me that the planter looked a little misshapen most likely due to when it was packed and handled. He welcomed me to look at what remaining inventory was left on the shelves & although there was no guarantee that any of the ones left on shelf were any better (as they also had some minor blemishes, maybe one or two were also slightly misshapen) that if I had wanted to pick out one that I liked I could take it to the checkout stand and he would help me with exchanging the items. Read moreLong story short, I needed to purchase new dishes for last minute additional dinner guests since I long ago gave away my good china and what we use for every day had seen better days. Even more problematic is that several pieces had broken over the years and I couldn't replace them although I had tried from time to time. Therefore I couldn't set even a proper casual dinner table for eight. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at World Market by the selection offered. It was uncanny how I found a color and pattern that is so similar to what I had, that all the serving pieces from my old set will work beautifully with the new. Money saver! But of course, I had to buy new napkins, napkin rings and placemats as well. Besides the selection, I wish to compliment the staff. I had a hundred questions and a young woman was there to quickly assist. She helped me with the step by step process to join the rewards club saving me an additional 15 percent. Furthermore, the young woman helping me at the register was also delightful. I was making a large purchase and she wrapped it all and she was so cheerful, accommodating and kind. Thank you!
