I wouldn't even give this place one star!! Me, my husband and 2 of our friends drove over an hour to this Dick's location so my husband could purchase a gun for hunting purposes. The service was already poor from the moment we walked back to the gun section. There was only 2 others shopping around for a gun and it took them over an hour to help us out, we couldn't even get a question in without them rudely saying they were already in the process of helping someone else. After they finally get around to us, the man who was assigned to help us out with purchasing of the gun had already had my husbands paperwork all filled out and then all of a sudden he asks for our friend, who was another male, for his drivers license. We were a little confused because after all of the guns my husband has purchased in the past, he had never got asked for anyone else to show their license other than him. Well it took us a few minutes to find our friend because he had been shopping around, he wasn't with me and my husband while we were in the process of purchasing the gun. Our friend politely tells the man who was assigned to help us that him showing his license was not mandatory. He immediately becomes frustrated and started raising his voice at all of us, I felt very disrespected and uncomfortable being I am 9 months pregnant. We asked what he was needing our friends license for and he kept shrugging his shoulders continously. The man threatened our friend and said that he had 10 seconds to show his license or he was not going to sell the firearm to my husband. I kindly asked him if my license would work and he never answered my question, instead he literally began counting down from 10 in a loud voice to where he has spit shooting out of his mouth into our face. He gets to 0 and then yanks the gun back and tosses it behind the counter. We then decide to get the manager and tell him what happened. The manager goes and talks to the man who was assigned to help us who turns out was new and hadn't been there for even a week. The manager then comes back and tells us that he wasn't going to turn us away but that we couldn't purchase the gun that night, then continues to tell us that only my husband was allowed to come back. We kindly stated that it was okay, we would go to the Dick's in the next county over, but then was denied there after finding out the manager had contacted that store after we left. Long story short, we ended up going to Cabela's, found the same gun for a cheaper price, had WAY better customer service and not anyone other than my husband was asked for his...
Read moreI ordered a basketball goal online December 17th for pickup at the Kennesaw store. I phoned the Kennesaw store prior to pickup on December 20th to make sure it was there and ready to go. I waited on hold for several minutes after reaching the operator, but nobody picked up. I drove to the store and they told me my order was cancelled. I did not receive any notification, email, or phone call--when I rechecked through the online portal that day, it said "cancelled." I spent 30 minutes at the store and 20 minutes in my car trying to find a replacement at other stores but it was out of stock everywhere in Atlanta. Today, I called the national number to see if they would honor the price from Christmas and they told me they would not.
The team sports associate was friendly and tried to help. The manager was busy with the Christmas rush and did not offer any help outside of saying "sorry." The national customer service call center was a waste of time, especially considering that the computer system could not accurately tell how many goals were in stock at any Atlanta store.
I wish they would have actively notified me about the cancellation (by phone call, text, or email instead of hoping I check the portal) or offered to help me find a replacement, or honored the Christmas price when I tried to order by phone two...
Read morePurchased a lacrosse head for my son at this store. We are told that they provide stringing services there at a cost. We paid for the service and upon doing so we were told that if my son had a issue he could bring it back and they would redo it until he was comfortable. Fast forward my son kept having issues with the head, he took it back multiple times to have it addressed. It still was not the way he wanted it. Fast forward again we had to take it to a lacrosse store to pay to have it redone again. My son called the store and the associate he spoke did not even say hello, he said I'm not redoing it and them told him he was doing him a favor. I then called the store and spoke with an associate who then told me they were doing me a favor. Doing me a favor for a service I paid for and you didn't get right because they didn't know what they were doing? I requested my service fee back to which the manager agreed to. They need to learn how to speak to customers and address issues the correct way. Also don't tell customers one thing and not want to uphold that, make things clear what the restrictions or limitations are. I'll be taking my...
