"Craving Caribbean Cuisine? Head to Bahama Breeze!"

We have a special "bond" with this place. After we fly back in from a trip from WHEREVER we have traveled from back into ATL, our goal is for our first meal to be at Bahama Breeze. It's our first meal back into the country or area from places such as Cuba, Costa Rica, or last week, the Amazon jungle. We were deep in the heart of the Amazon outside of Iquitos for a week doing native medicnal research, and on our last day there, ate a pizza from.... Well. Let's just say a place we will never order pizza from again. We became deathly ill the night before we had to leave at 5am. We were sick for 5hrs straight and did not sleep at all. We were then driven to the airport that was not air conditioned, and could barely stand, and could not hold down food or water. We proceeded to spend the next 24 HOURS in nonstop travel across 3 countries, unable to eat and only drinking sips of water after 12hrs of flight. After we landed in the beautiful international airport of Atlanta, we were finally ready to try and eat something and the only thing we could think of was driving to Bahama Breeze. When we arrived, we were met by smiles and friendliness and it warmed our hearts. When we travel people are nice and kind but at the airport peoples attitudes tend to be negative. Seeing all of those smiles nearly brought tears to our weary eyes. After we were seated our waitress was asking about our day and our trip. Unfortunately for her, she was victim to our big long spill about our trip. Her politeness turned into interest and even if she was just acting, I really appreciated it. After ordering our usual favorites such as empanadas and coconut shrimp, we ate until our stomachs were full and then ate a little more. The food was all perfect and the service as well. We left with full bellies and fuller hearts. Thank you Bahama Breeze for your existence, management, and insistence on a culture of friendly and professional staff. And of course to the staff who without them, none of it would have happened. Out trips are increasingly productive as well as dangerous. There may be one day that we are unable to return to Bahama Breeze but we know good and well that we will be dining in a place similar to Bahama Breeze in eternity.

We no longer live in an area with Bahama Breeze, so we were looking forward to being near one on a recent trip. We went with high hopes to enjoy some of the items we had enjoyed in the past and a fun "tropical" dinner. The ambiance was immediately whiplash though when instead of tropical music, the live music for the night was Motown instead. After being seated, it took a few minutes before a server came over to see what we'd like to drink. We ordered our drinks, and then asked about some appetizers. We were disappointed to find out this location does not have the coconut onion rings. (Not sure if that's just this location or a change across all Bahama Breeze, but seriously! You have coconut shrimp on the menu, but you no longer offer coconut onion rings??) I ended up ordering a cup of the black bean soup, but after 10+ minutes when only my bar drink had arrived, I started suspecting that the soup would not be showing up. This was confirmed when our main courses arrived and right about that time our server came by again to ask if we'd gotten everything. I mentioned the soup and she apologetically admitted that she had forgotten to put it in, and asked if I still wanted it "on her". I said no, since my main course meal was already there, but suggested that we might like a dessert instead. She looked at me surprised and said "On me?" I said, "yes...? Instead of the soup?" She said she would see what she could do, and walked away. We ate our meal, having to flag down another waiter at one point to get refills on our waters. We saw her occasionally running to other tables in the section, but you got the impression she either had too many tables, or had other tables in another section that she was having trouble running between. As we finished our main course, she came by our table and confirmed that she was able to get us a dessert, so after she took our plates, she came back with our pie. The food was good, but it was not our best experience overall and I ended up wishing we'd just gone somewhere else.

Kennesaw location has really gone down hill with food and service. This place used to have some nice options the food turned into something that looks like a kids cuisine microwavable dinner. Let’s start out by saying that the water tastes funny like chemicals, extremely alarming and we almost left! The only thing that was edible or worthwhile was the coconut shrimp and this grilled chicken with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes Which I asked for loaded came very dry it needed butter, sour cream & cheese. The rest of my entire family’s dinner was absolutely nasty just ridiculous. Served two of my sons burned chicken on old hard stale bread buns. Served two members of my family what look to be like microwaved chicken fingers that I wouldn’t have even served my dog. Chicken fingers were flat not fresh not fried fresh looked smelled and taste rubbery. The waiter has an attitude that we could tell he just didn’t want to be there. Barely gave us a chance to ask for anything and he left so quickly we would have to ask him for simple stuff like ketchup, and he would get annoyed that we had to ask him to go back and get something when if he would’ve just stayed for more than literally one second we could’ve given him Information all at once then he comes back over with an attitude and says is there anything else (he rolls eyes) well maybe if you stayed for the first time you wouldn’t have to run back and go get my kids some ketchup , maybe when you see a table with children, you should bring napkins. Maybe you should have salt and pepper on a table. These things are common sense. He sends over a manager who tries to force my kids into ordering something else, They were tired and we just wanted to go home. The waiter circles back around and tries to force my kids again to order something else, then talks directly to my young child about this. There is no reason for a waiter to direct a question towards my child that was already asked three times not only by me their mother but by a manager and then he wants to circle back around and push again they just wanted money they just didn’t want to have to take it off of the ticket It made my other family members so uncomfortable which is why I didn’t even complain about the chicken fingers I just wanted to leave! Just overall terrible customer service worse food. MONEY WASTED & my kids...

This is an excellent place to go for anyone. You can take your sister or brother along with you, your best friends ,a first date, or the kids the whole family or everybody altogether above... Well I couldn't not with my crazy family and friends but anyways just saying but this place Really is great period I'm so surprised it was right next to my apartment this whole time it's such a gem! Well anyways, to get to the point so that I may be helpful, The atmosphere is very laid back very comfortable and the employees are super extremely nice and attentive. The food is excellent... And the drinks are to die for... It has not only a bar area that you can go inside and go straight up to and eat right away or have a drink right away with no waiting or plenty of tables and different styles all over the restaurant in different areas around the bar it's so diverse in its layout it's pretty amazing and then there's also the outside area where you can eat at which is covered perfectly with shade and fans out there so you don't get too hot... And it's not too loud here either, but it's not too quiet either, I guess what I'm trying to say is it really is a just an awesome environment with excellent customer service and nice scenery. The prices are good... average I think. Some of my friends have thought that it might be a little pricey as in basically for 1 person to eat and have a drink and maybe dessert yeah you're looking about probably $40 but to me that's not any different than any other restaurant really that decent let alone goid or great! So I hope this helps, but definitely check it out..I promise you it's worth it. The shrimp and lobster linguini are awesome menu choice, and the pineapple chicken bowl is heavenly. If you like the fruity rice chicken style flavor thing that is....lol The fish dishes are always a good choice, the Mahi and Salmon. And if you're just going by yourself the people at the bar are always so nice even the customers everyone seems to engage in conversation constantly with one another as if youve known each other for years, like Cheers, old tv show, and if you're not very conversational and you don't care to talk to someone else around you people can pick that up and they don't bother u. They are just excellent here ,...the employees, an excellent atmosphere, trust me,go, and have fun;...
