Reword Went to this store purchased a pair of vans. I thought I could wear a half a size larger. Then I realized, I could not. I tried on the size 7, which was the display and the only size 7 left. So, I go back to return the size 7.5 and order a size 7. Cashier calls I’m assuming a supervisor. She said to him could you go get a size 7. I immediately told her and him that, if it was the display I did not want the show because one shoe felt worned and looser than the other. He proceeds to go get the “display” shoe. Bring it back, place it on the counter. I said I know this is the display because I already checked and I told you I did not want this shoe. Then he made this smart remark, “will this is an open box store”. So, I said well that’s not the open box I want. Like I said I would like to see if other stores that have this shoe in stock that is not the display. He turns to the cashier and says will see if another store has the shoe. So, this is how insulting this story gets. The cashier has trouble completing my order because I paid with Apple Pay. So, he returns the shoe puts the money on a gift card and pretend he’s ordering the shoe from a different store. Completes the order, hands me a receipt. I leave the store. Shoes arrive today May 3, 2024. I open the box, I immediately knew the shoes were the same shoe from 840 Ernest W Barrett Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. The same exact shoe, I told this dude I did not want. When I contacted customer service, they confirmed that the shoes came from the same store. I feel insulted and disrespected, and it reflects poorly on the company's customer service standards. Now I have to wait on another pair of shoes and waste my gas to take back the same shoe I declined to purchase in the store! I’m very disappointed in this type of treatment and poor...
Read moreI usually shop online but today I visited this store along with my kiddo who is 3 years old. I assume the cashier’s number on my receipt is what I’m seeing as 29192. I want to say the name was John but I apologize if that’s incorrect. We received excellent service today. When we entered, someone other than our cashier greeted us immediately and sought out whether it was possible to exchange my online purchase for the desired size. Afterwards, I took my child to the women’s restroom and it was clean with plenty of soap, which is always much appreciated especially for someone with kids who touch the toilet seats while learning restroom habits. There were plenty of folks on the floor stocking sizes and asking if we needed any assistance without being hurrying or pushing a sale in an overly-hovering manner. My child finally picked out a pair of Paw Patrol shoes and the person who greeted us helped us along to the checkout aisle and let the associate at the cash register know that we also had an exchange for an online order that needed to be placed for a half size. Everything went very smoothly. We appreciate the patience of the help we received (especially with a young child in tow) and will be back to buy more in-store based on the excellent service received today from all of the associates. I used to work in a shoe store and it is really very difficult to stay on top of stocking, sign/display changes, customer service, store cleanliness, and special orders. The associates on hand today were committed to making it happen and they...
Read moreShopped at DSW more than 15 years ago and after a friend made fun of all my ancient shoes breaking from overwear when we went out she brought me to the DSW in East Cobb to refresh this collection. Because I had a new phone number was able to sign up for a new account and they give you $10 off for signing up then all of the clearance shoes are between 20%-50% off on top of listed price. I walked out with better prices I’ve historically gotten at end of season department store sales and been back a few times since getting quality shoes that don’t break while I’m walking down a sidewalk. Kennesaw location has the best selection for whatever reason.
Rating DSW as a whole 3 stars because they sent a pair of shoes with 2 different sizes once but brought into Kennesaw store for easy exchange. Also having a couple problems transferring points as the ladies opened an account under a friends name that was picking the shoes up for me without permission : - / Tried to use online chat without success.
Update 1: They credited the rewards points but didn’t credit account so I’m still $7 from *elite. Noticed later that day you can view purchases in the app and 1/2 were accounted for on account.
Update 2: Visited in-store to return and rebuy the shoes which was an easy process. Wish the online agent could’ve accounted for the points but jumping a couple extra hoops with great personnel was as effortless as it can be! Officially an...
