I want to first acknowledge that i was late in returning a rental suit and take full responsibility for returning the suit late and understand the $50 late fee. I never disputed that and made it clear I intended to return the suit and pay what was owed.
However, the way this business communicated with me was completely unprofessional and honestly anxiety-inducing. I AND MY 15 YEAR OLD SON (2 SEPERATE PHONES) received multiple aggressive texts and calls back-to-back, repeating the same message about the contract and fee—even after I had already acknowledged everything and responded respectfully. The tone was more threatening than helpful, and it made an already stressful situation worse.
To be honest, their approach made not only my 15 year old, but also myself extremely uncomfortable—so much so that I almost didn’t want to come in at all. I’ve rented at other places before and never been treated like this. A little professionalism and basic courtesy could’ve made a big difference.
I hope they reconsider how they handle communication with customers going forward. It’s possible to enforce a policy without being unnecessarily harsh.

Thank you for your reply, ma'am.
I never denied returning the suit late and fully accepted responsibility for the late fee without complaint. What I take issue with is the way your business chose to communicate—with excessive, aggressive messages that created unnecessary stress and anxiety. That is not good customer service, especially when the client is still communicating respectfully and honoring their financial responsibility.
As for your comment about my son “acting like he didn’t rent the suit,” I find that to be both dismissive and irrelevant. Regardless of any confusion, it was clear from our messages that the suit was being returned and the fee paid.
Rather than addressing your tone or reflecting on how future interactions could be handled more professionally, you chose to deflect, belittle, and insult your customer. That alone speaks volumes. Being right about a policy doesn’t excuse being rude in enforcing it.
I hope this feedback encourages you to treat all customers with a bit more grace and professionalism moving forward.
(Her response) Formal 4 U (Owner):
Liliana sorry you felt that way. You had plenty of opportunities to bring back the suit on time. You did not acknowledge our phone calls properly and your son-acted like he did not rent a suit from us. All the other guys returned suits on time and we had customers that are prompt because they know it belongs to a rental. Lot of people does not like to...
Read moreI'd like to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to the owner, Mrs. K. Collins and her team at "Formal 4 U"!! My daughter had a vision and a plan for her prom dress, but we couldn't find anything that came close in any of the department store "formal wear" sections. Then we heard about Formal 4 U.... I wish we had gone there FIRST because they have a wide variety of formal dress options; different styles, many colors, ALL price points, and designer collections. As soon as we walked into the store, Mrs. K was on it! She asked the right questions. She fitted my daughter. And she went right to work. When my daughter didn't find what she was looking for on the racks, Mrs. K led her to a couple of books. She said if it's not here, I can order it and it will be here in 7 days guaranteed. After flipping through those books, she found "THE DRESS," so we placed our order and guess what?! It came back in 6 days!!! The dress fit my daughter perfectly, so no alterations were needed, but Mrs. K has the hook up for that as well if needed. This was an amazing shopping experience, and I am extremely happy with this purchase. I highly recommend Formal 4 U to anyone who needs a formal dress. I certainly will be going back to support this...
Read moreBUYER BEWARE!!! Purchased a beautiful dress for daughter’s father/daughter dance. Got dress home and noticed a large hole in the train of the dress. Called to report the problem the next morning and they offered to pay for a tailor to fix the hole. When my tailor indicated the repair would cause the dress to be too short for my daughter, I asked for my money back. They refused, insisting their tailor could fix it. When I said it wouldn’t fix the length issue, they accused me of tearing the dress and refused to issue a refund.
Update to response: Operators of the business are crazy. Exactly why BUYER BEWARE. We tried on 1 dress. That does not take 30 minutes in the dressing room. I found the hole when we took it out of the bag when we got home. Notified them immediately. They refuse to do the right thing. I agreed to have a $300 dress that was supposed to be brand new fixed, but when that fix would cause the dress to be too short, the owners attacked me and refused to make it...
