Even got some training from the owners on how to use their "Al Shams Bakery" (from Dearborn, MI) Pita bread, with olive oil and their super-fresh herb blend, called Za'atar Baladi (I think it is a cultural bitter-herb blend) and it tastes very good.
I was not prepared to haul meat around in the car that day, so I did not buy any meats. However, I will surely try their meat selection soon, as I could see the nice cuts and observe their care in handling the products they offer.
Do yourself a favor and take some time to ask questions about the things you see on the shelves. You will find foods you have not ever tried before and which are health-giving, culturally significant and much more interesting than the same ol' meat...

The produce section was disappointing, with wilted greens and several overripe fruits. I also noticed a distinct lack of variety compared to other markets in the area. The meat counter, while seemingly well-stocked, had a strong, unpleasant odor. The overall cleanliness of the store could also be improved; several shelves were dusty, and the floor seemed like it hadn’t been swept in some time.
