First of all I've been a customer of gamestop in kernersville for 7ish years. They offended me so bad my last trip there I will never go again. I went to get my nephew a $100 gift card for his birthday and when I arrived no one was in the store but the cashier and myself. While I was there I wanted to see the new call of duty game but I didn't see it on display. DJ the cashier said he had them behind the counter. I asked to see one as I wanted to read the cover. As he give me game and I started looking at it someone walked up to the cashier. At this point only 3 people was in the store, one being a gamestop employee and we was all within 6 to 8 feet of each other. OK so DJ the gamestop employee was just standing there while I'm looking at the game and I didn't want to be rude to the man standing in line. Also I wanted a little more time to look at the game. I told DJ you cam help the gentleman in line while I read this and come back to. DJ said the game was a high value game of $70 and he couldn't help anyone else until I was finished because their location got a lot of theft. Now let's put this context. I'm 51 years old overweight with gray hair. Do I really look like I'm going to dash for the door. Also he could have helped the other guy and still had me in plain sight, only 3 of us all in close proximity. It offended me as I'm wondering do I look like a thief to this man. Also if I would have turned to walk alway he could have clearly saw me. I'm wondering was that just the bad judgment of a employee or even worse was ge following the stores guidelines. I told him never mind on the game and gift card and I left. I was so mad I called their corporate office in the parking lot. They took my report and I never heard back. I got some advice for you gamestop. Just because you have a problem with theft it's not the fault of your good customers. Also $70 isn't high value, have you been to the grocery store lately. Further more it was poor judgment to humiliate a long term customer especially when the place wasn't busy and he had two customers in plain site standing right in front of him. A little common sense goes a long way. Gamestops actions treated me terrible and I will...
Read moreGET THE WARRANTY ON USED GOODS... ...if you chance buying anything from them, which I recommend against. I bought a used XBONE and they start trying to sell you a membership, warranty and something else, but I tuned out by then. Some kid that hasn't seen shampoo or a comb in a month dressed in a random ratty shirt disappeared to the back without a word when I asked if they had used XBONE. So I started talking to the other clerk after he was done with his rambling customer and then the other one came back with a box, and with a frustrated attitude told the other clerk "I got it." Give it to my daughter for her birthday and it won't play more than an hour before it shuts off. I open it up and clean a BLANKET worth of dust out of every crevice and hole. It worked much better for a bit, now it won't play more than 2 hours and it won't do an official update so it won't play online. I guess replace the hard drive? So, I am screwed because I declined to buy anything further from someone I just didn't trust to buy a stick...
Read moreI took my son who has Autism to this place at 1pm. The sales associate was rude to him from the start. He asked her how much was a collectible since it didn't have the price on it. Her response and attitude were rude. I'm not sure what her problem was, but you don't address anyone that way, especially children. Then there was an Xbox game that was on sale. My son wanted to know the price. He was paying with a gift card. She said the original price, and I told her it was on sale. She stated, " I don't know the price, I will have to check it." I told her to check it. Which I shouldn't have to because that is common sense. After we purchased the items, my son told her thank you, and have a good day. She didn't say anything. Gamestop needs to have remedial training on customer service with...
