A while back, I found myself trapped in a desperate situation needing a quick escape plan. After assessing my surroundings, I devised a plan so crazy that I knew it just might work. As genius as my plan was, its success relied on the cooperation of a fellow prisoner who was trapped beside me. He was a strange man with graying hair and the kind a scruff only a hard life can grow. He had his own story and a path that had never crossed mine until now. I needed this stranger's help and could only beg the Lord above that he was aware he needed mine. I nervously spilled the details of my plan to which he gave the type of reply that comes from years of mocking death: "Alright." We waited for the right moment, gave each other a nod and in a flash our plan was set into motion like a ballet of precision that would make even the most senior engineers at NASA question their life choices. Before I knew it, I was once again tasting that sweet taste of freedom. But my relief quickly turned to shock as I realized the strange man had fallen behind and become imprisoned again. Do I go back and help this man to whom I owe my new found freedom? No, I don't. I turned my head and kept on my way. Perhaps the world is a safer place as long as the mysterious man remains imprisoned in that Chick-fil-a parking lot. A man imprisoned by the immovable drive-thru drivers who have no comprehension of mercy. Farewell scruffy Honda CRV driver, farewell. In another life maybe you would have bought a smaller car with a better turning radius. We can only dream. Luckily, this location has done a lot of work to improve traffic flow which has made things much better since my ordeal with the CRV driver. I eat lunch here at least once every week or two and rarely get caught up in the drive-thru...
Read moreChick-fil-a is always a great place to stop. They are always busy but I guess their popularity has to say something about them. However it does not seem to matter ever how busy they are they always make you feel like you are the only one there. They are patient when you order. Helping you make the right choices. There is never a problem if you have to alter a menu item. It is always done correctly. And your food will come fast! You will almost wonder if they knew you were coming. Also, something that all other fast food restaurants need to learn from is found here. They have all their condiments out where you can actually get them. They are not stored in a secret place locked up where by the time you actually get it you have already regretted your decision to ask for it. This is how it is at most other fast food places I have been to. But at Chick-fil-a they never run low or run out. And I'm not just talking about ketchup. They have plenty of ketchup but there is also mayonnaise, low fat mayonnaise, mustard, bbq sauce, and other popular selections. If there is something they do not have out all you need do is step up to the front beside the counter and someone will be with you in a flash ready to help you. They do not ignore or make you feel unwanted. And I have not even said anything about the food yet. Which may be the most important part because you can have all the perks but if the food is not good then it will not matter. However, at Chik-fil-a the food is always hot and fresh with a good taste. It doesn't seem to matter which branch you stop at the food is always prepared with consistency. So this is definitely a must stop for anyone who is in a hurry but does not want to sacrifice food quality for...
Read moreIm probably one of the few people who don’t mind how busy Chick-fil-A is. What I do mind, however, is being ripped off and brushed aside.
I went through the drive thru and asked to increase the size of my meal, paying extra to do so. Whenever I got home from that thirty five minute wait, I was surprised to find out that my upsized fry I ordered was half way filled.
I ate my meal and ended going back to get more food out as I was still hungry after being ripped off. I contacted Chick-fil-A about the issue and they wrote me a letter with a free small fry coupon. To replace the large fry I never received and my two trips out to get food. I contacted them telling them they need to do better than that considering I ordered a higher value ktem than they were trying to compensate me with. The franchise owner reached out and told me he’d give me another small fry.
So, I ordered a meal that was so wrong I had to go back out to make another trip. (It’s a thirty minute trip for me in rural kernersville).Their idea of recompensation is to give me a lower priced, quality, and sized item than the one they originally screwed up. I’ve attached a picture of my meal that they decided to cheat me out of.
It’s one thing for a restaurant to tout religion to gain more customers, but last I checked stealing is wrong in every religion. Practice what you preach, Chick-fil-A. There’s a special hell for blasphemers...
