City of Key West Old Town Garage (Park N Ride) — Local services in Key West

This place is terrific. Finally an example of tax dollars well spent. If you feel like walking it is only about 10-12 blocks to Duval Street. A pleasant stroll. The park and ride usually is working and the Duval Loop Bus comes every 30 minutes. Walking back to the garage at night is a good way to sober up before getting behind the wheel.

Another option would be the parking lot at the corner of Simonton and Greene. $15 all day, stay overnight until 9AM the next morning, come and go, in and out all day and night. Also one block from Sloppy Joe's, two blocks from the Historic Harbor Walk and two blocks from Mallory Square.

However, at the end of the day I prefer the City Parking Garage. May be a little more expensive but I love the walk to Duval Street. Only 15 or 20 minutes and you see the real Key West - quaint shops,...

DO NOT TAKE THIS unless you're already intimately familiar with the route, stops, and attractions! Its a city bus. The driver DOES NOT make any announcements. We wound up having to ride the entire route to get back to within a block of the trollies. The only words spoken by the driver were uttered at the Lower Keys Medical Center -- located off the island -- "BREAK TIME! 15 MINUTES!" said as he got off the bus and walked into the building. We went through every shopping center and Housing Authority project in Key West. I had a bad feeling when I got on the bus and my "Hi! How'ya doing?" to the driver was met by a blank stare. I was appalled at the pathetic excuse for a pay station. The cost is $40 USD per day and the machine kept asking me to pay with coins??? Really? Next.. they make it impossible to pay with credit card. I inserted 2 cards 10 times with an embarrassingly long cue behind me. In this day and age, all parkades should have tap pay and Apple Pay.. or at least an attendant to take my cash (not coins).
