We are in key west for our honeymoon and the waiter went above and beyond by giving us a free dessert after finding that out. The problem came about 3 hours after dinner. Me and my husband got back to our hotel room and started having severe stomach cramps which turned to vomiting and diarrhea. This lasted from about 11pm-4am. This was not just normal โate something that didnโt agree with usโ. We both ate dinner at around 830pm and both began feeling that way at the exact same time after sharing a meal. We ordered a steak, a baked potato, and Mac n cheese to share so we ate the exact same items. We also shared the free dessert. We called and shared our concern with the restaurant in case any one else was feeling this way. We are not the complaining type, I will almost never complain about food and left a very generous 40% tip. The complaint is more for the customer service after calling. We were told โit could be from anywhereโ and it was not them. The problem with that theory is that we were on a 5 hour snorkeling excursion before this dinner and had not eaten prior to this meal. The only meal we had all day was at this restaurant. I have never experienced sickness like that before and hope this does not happen to anyone else. We also took home most of our $80 steak and threw it away out of fear of becoming sick again. This has cost us 2 days of our 6 day honeymoon. I hope that the next time this happens they treat the next guest with more respect after a $200 dinner tab...

I asked if he could do Pittsburg rare and he said yes no problem. All the food came out. My husband andI split the potato (they are large). I cut into my steak and it was medium. I told the waiter and was asked to cut into the middle of the steak as it would be rare there. (Like I spend over $50 for just the middle of a steak...) I did cut into it like he asked and the steak was Med. He agreed and took it back. With my 1/2 potato. As everyone finished their meals my meal was returned as a raw steak refrigerator cold when I cut in. I did not say anything to the waiter but realized they donโt know the difference (hopefully it was not intentional) between a raw steak and a rare steak. The waiter saw the steak and said it was raw and needed more cooking. I agreed. At this time they only brought back my steak without my potato. So they took my steak to cook more and while everyone finished their food I was given the 1/2 potato that was under the heat lights. I know it was my original potato as i had it dressed and taken some bites. . At this point everyone was done and I didnโt want the steak back for the 3 rd time. I told the waiter I no longer wanted the steak And if he was going to charge me for a steak I didnโt eat he should pack it up to go. We are in from out of town so we dont Have anywhere to even put this steak I had to take home, The worse part was my friends weโre paying for his birthday dinner. No manager came up after 3 sendbacks... wont be going back. Donโt think...
