Outer Banks Jewelers and Pawn Shop — Local services in Kill Devil Hills

We bought some jewelry and were satisfied. So we decided trust the jewelers suggestion on getting 4 watches serviced and cleaned, $1500 worth. One month later we receive our watches back, my watch was supposed to be appraised, but it wasn't, serviced but not cleaned and no notes on any of the work done. Was it a lie? My fathers watch came back horribly scratched. Big scratch on the bezel and horribly scratched on the band, as if it was worn for years.

Only conclusion i have is the jewelers watch maker switched bands and bezel, as we were in disbelief at how they could have scarred it this much. The bezel is worn all the way around. We will be opening it up to make sure the numbers match. Bottom line, it's worth way less than its appraisal value now.

Spare yourself from the turmoil. In fact, boycott all pawn shops. And Eddy, the owner, spare me your excuses you plan on answering back with.

Edit: Well your"goal" has failed, we're not pleased. We brought in a mint pristine watch, it being used is not an excuse at how you treat peoples property. You didn't try to remedy the situation, you tried to give us excuses and defend your watch maker without hesitation. You wanna make it right. Replace the band and bezel your maker stole or ruined, That's how you can make it right. Till then, I'll tell everyone in OBX to stay the hell away from your Pawn shop you shyster.

Edit: Adding more to the review as i see one of my watches is still fast. So an extra waste of $450. Just keeps getting worse...

First time in OBX and my husband and I see this place and stop in. Thinking it will be the same ole "pawn shop experience", oh, was I ever wrong!! What started as looking, went to talking, went to showing each other pictures of old cars. Then we were talking family and our daughter's and diamond's. Eddie is such a genuine nice guy. In the time we spent there today. I found a ring I just loved. He let me wear it around the store as I browsed his amazing collection of jewelry. And other odds and ends. After a hour or so. My wonderful husband buys me the ring. 100% would buy here again!! Without question. Thing is we are about 13 or so hours away. But I know without a doubt I could call. Tell him what I'm looking for, what price range I want to stay in and he could pick something out. Yes, he's that good. Thank you for a wonderful experience today gentleman. Don't waste your time here, you'll be lied to, manipulated into buying things with false information. While browsing, the pricing they had was truly absurd, some at double or almost triple the cost to buy brand new, and not to mention it wasnt very clean with dust all over a lot of things. But the main reason you shouldn't waste your time, while there browsing the jewelry section, witnessed an employee being extremely rude to a customer/potential customer, raising his voice and being kinda aggressive and loud while claiming that he was the owner, but doubtful as no owner would be that blatantly rude and want to tarnish their own business by acting like an adult child. That was the end of my experience with this so called company, do yourself a favor, save yourself your time, money and headaches and visit another pawn shop until they make some major changes and get employees who know how to work with customers.
