First of all,I would just like to say I have never ever dealt with a Verizon based store ( or that's what you call yourself) such as this one. I was visiting the outer banks for about 4 days when on the 3rd day of my trip, My phone completely dies. Knowing I had to have one to keep in touch with family , I pulled in at this location. After about a 2 hour wait , $520.00 ,2 two year contract and payments scheduled on my account extra of 21.00 a month above what I was already paying , to the amount of $504.00 I left there with a new Samsung 7 edge. I never once thought I needed to look at the phone or inspect it since they seemed reputable. So on day 4, we are coming back to Va. and I happened to take the phone from the box it came in and look at it and the back screen is broken , split straight across it. I thought to myself, surely they will replace this phone since it was supposed ( and I use that word lightly) to be brand new. So I quickly call them and was assured that the lady who issued this phone would call me back and make it right. Her name was Anna Ivanic. I am still calling that store after 4 days now with promises she would call me back . She has never had the guts to do that because she knew this was a faulty device to begin with. Otherwise, she would have at least tried to call me and apologize for the inconvenience. The person I was able to speak to kept assuring me a call back which I never got. He told me to take the phones to several different Verizon locations to return for refund or replacement, all of which denied my request. I would never recommend this place of business to anyone , stir clear of these crooks if you know whats good for ya. I now have a phone that has a voided warranty that if I ever need repairs this coming year , I will have to pay our of pocket again. I guess you all thought we were from the country and didn't have enough common sense to know what you were doing but I got news for you, I could buy that friggin store if I wanted to. No joke! So if you can live with what you have done Anna Ivanic,I certainly can live without it and you can...
Read moreI came to this location to get an iPhone 14 pro max on launch day. I was not a Verizon customer prior to this but had been interested in making the switch. I waited outside 3 hours before they opened to make sure I got a phone. Once I got in it was all smiles but then the smiles started going away once they tried to get me to get a case and screen protector and charger and I told them I already purchased my case and screen protector before hand. Then the lady asked me if I planned to pay the phone off or stay with Verizon. I told her I would probably pay it off in case I don’t like Verizon’s service or prices. Then she told me that the phones are in high demand and limited stock and that they should really be for real Verizon customers…. This is not something you want to say to someone who’s been on the fence about switching. Basically saying she doesn’t want to sell me the phone because I might not stay with Verizon. Now I realize this is an authorized retailer of Verizon which basically means most of their commissions are based off of accessory sales and new activations that last longer than 60 days. So I was not an ideal customer for them since I could not provide them any benefit to the sale of the phone. But still you have to accept that not every sale is a slam dunk. Sometimes you get someone who buys a lot of accessories and sometimes you don’t. I worked at authorized locations before so I know the frustration but I never acted that way with anyone. So if I was the owner of the business I would have some reform with employees to keep a friendly demeanor even with customers that do not provide you...
Read moreBuyer beware...this store is not to be trusted. My experience was consistent with the other one-star reviewers at this "authorized retailer."
This place will do and say whatever it takes to make the sale. When asked if I wanted device insurance, I said "no." When I asked if the cost of the phone was the same as if I went directly through Verizon Wireless, they said unequivocally "yes."
Sure enough, when I got my first invoice and connected with my business rep he told me they had added insurance to my account (even though I declined it) and charge me $100 more for the phone than had I gone directly through Verizon Wireless.
What's worse is when I called the store to try and resolve the situation, Lisa, the store manager, put on full display her abysmal customer service skills. The best part was when I asked for her supervisor's contact information she said that she's been advised not to give that out. Shady shop for sure! Lisa clearly sets the tone for this fraudulent franchise.
If you are thinking about buying here, learn from our mistake and, don't. If you already bought here and got burned like us, please dial 611 from your mobile device, lodge a complaint (naming this specific location) with Verizon Wireless corporate, and see what damage control they're able to do for you.
I just got off the phone with Mark at Verizon Wireless corporate and he was able to make me whole! I'll never use an authorized...
