I asked my other family members who stayed with me what they would give this place. They said 1 star. I’ll be nice and upgrade it to 2 stars. Ok, first off it is literally a two-star hotel as hotels are apparently rated. And as two star hotel go, this one is below average. I will start with the only good things. Staff seemed nice. Location is decent. Air conditioning worked. That’s it. Downhill from there. The hotel is very dated. Rooms feel like they were decorated in the 70s. Kind of a musty smell to rooms. Beds were too hard and sleep was not easy. Windows are the kind that should open, but they don’t open if you want any fresh air. The card reader to gain access to entire hotel was broken, so anyone could walk in from the street and be standing outside your door if you open it. There are 3 floors. Wouldn’t have been a problem if it was on top floor and you couldn’t see it ripped off from the street. Nope, it was the first floor reader, and you could see it was ripped off if you are standing in the parking lot, which is right off the main highway. Security issue that wasn’t fixed for the 2 days we were there. I’ll say this; I’ve seen prices on this hotel go down to $80 a night as I’m looking right now. If I had paid that price I wouldn’t be that unhappy. But we paid $300 a night during June for our stay. Seriously, this place is an $80-$150 max hotel. Wish I had paid $80 per night for our stay. That seems about right for what we got.

My family and I stayed for four days. I was a little bit worried about this place from seeing pictures when I booked, but I went ahead anyway. We got a call around 11:30 am the day of check in saying our room was already ready, which was great when traveling with two toddlers. The motel is in a convenient location, and the owners are very nice! They checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are dated, but they are exceptionally clean! This isn’t your typical motel with daily housekeeping, but we were provided with what we needed any time we asked. Our room looked like it may have had slight water damage on the ceiling that probably should be addressed, but it wouldn’t keep us from booking with them again. We enjoyed our stay!

I had an amazing stay at Ocean Sands Beach Boutique! The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, making check-in quick and effortless. The property feels brand new, and the amenities inside the room are in excellent condition — everything was clean, modern, and thoughtfully provided. It’s clear they take pride in maintaining both comfort and style for their guests. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-kept beach getaway.

Upon walking into the room it smelled of mildew. The bathtub had hair all over it and the toilet was not cleaned well. This is our very last night staying here and we had to tell the housekeepers twice to clean the room today. They finally cleaned it but the sheets weren't changed, the reason I know this was because my daughter spilled her juice on the white sheets and the spot is still there. Also the bathtub still had sand in it from the previous day, the toilet once again wasn't cleaned. We did however get new towels. The rooms are paper thin and you can hear everything. The beds are extremely hard as well. The bathtub seal has mold all around it and the facet is falling off. The front desk people were very friendly which was probably the best thing about our experience. Another thing is the pool closes at sunset? I have kids with me that love the pool and it's hard to tell them no they cant swim. This is the very last time we will be staying here. If everything wasnt booked we would've left and went with another place. Not worth the price at all!!! Very unsatisfied. Sorry about...

I recently stayed at the Outer Banks Inn at the end of April and had a terrible experience when checking out. For the duration of our stay nothing abnormal happened and the staff seemed nice. However, when my girlfriend tried to check out the lady at the desk became very rude and started to add random incidental charges that we did nothing to deserve. After she berated us, we asked her to print us a copy of the receipt for all the charges and she then started to visibly edit the receipt for about two minutes. After unsuccessfully being able to edit and print the receipt, her attitude completely changed and she said that there would be no incidental charges at all. It was obvious they were trying to scam us and make us pay random incidental charges for no reason. How could someone be so hostile and say we owed over $100 in incidentals for a 2 night stay, then be so friendly and ask us to write a good review with a...
